Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry? It doesn't mean I'm not rooting for it Root harder. Sacrifice a goat.

A generous 8, could have been handled a bit better. ++++ Blackfish/Jaime scene was tremendous. One of the best of this season. All the Riverlands scenes were solid gold this episode. +++ Jaime taking over the siege. Blackfish gambling with Edmure. Loved that. ++ The Hound's introduction was splendid. Seeing the scene before the intro was great. McShane was excellent. + No Meereen + More Stannis aftermath + Natalie Dormer as Margaery as a zealous Margaery is quite great to watch. Good to see that she hasn't lost her mind. +/- The North. The rallying of the Northern lords has so many ups and downs. Jon and Sansa seem totally helpless and unable and Davos has to save them. Lord Glover had great points and Sansa and Jon failed to argue those. I'm really surprised that they even get an army for 6x09. +/- Braavos was quite brief and "shocking", but still it was no better than mediocre. +/- The episode was decently paced and quite intact, but felt way too short. - scene with HS and Margaery was quite stiff and weird. (- No Wyman Manderly, I'm so scared) ---- Iron island is beginning to slide near Dorne. What the fucking hell was that scene again? Who actually writes these dialogues? Yara is a lesbian? Good riddance. I agree to some extent about the last part. I'm not mad at her being a lesbian. i'm just annoyed they made her one because she's the stereotypical tough woman so of course she's gay. Bit of an eye roll for me. i thought the talk between Theon and Yara was really well done and touching though.

The Ironborn storyline has not been exactly brilliant (Euron is a dissapointment so far, that could change when we see his endgame), but it's far, far, faaaaar from being the unmitigated disaster that it's show Dorne.

Yara saying something like "You've had few bad years" triggered me so bad that for a moment I hated her. I don't see a reason for making Yara lesbian. You're joking here, right? 6 seasons and the most girl-on-girl we've ever had aside from that ridiculous prostitute training scene with Ros and Littlefinger was Ellaria and Oberyn with some girls from the brothel. I will tell you the reason: BECAUSE YES THAT'S A TURN ON! (for some of us) Because, why not? Because we've had gay male lovers, so why no female ones? Because it gives Yara something else interesting to do in Volantis and set the plot stage for her tough love speech. I like Yara a whole hell of a lot more now. Worked for me.

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with making Yara a lesbian. It might be just a byproduct of the heavily mysogynistic environment she grew up in, where women aren't worth shit to the men in power. Sure, many women use they femininity to source their strength from and command others, but some others embrace men's masculinity to blend in and play the same role as them. It's a man's world and there's more than one way to try to fit in and make the most of it for themselves.

It makes sense that someone in the show would be a lesbian. They exist. Why not Yara?

But Asha's romance was important to the story! Give me a break. So Yara likes tits, it doesn't affect the story in one way or the other. Just embrace it. Also, I think Yara might find herself making out with the Red Priestess soon which would give her a reason in the narrative to like soft lips and wide hips. Just like me.
