It probably was the weakest of the season, but this season has been amazing so far. Still a solid 7 or 8 imo.

Guys, isn't Bryan Cogman a fantastic writer? And what a kind fellow he is. Man, what a guy!

It's a 7 for me. Not the weakest of the season (that's the premiere, IMHO), but overall slightly below the level of the rest of the season. I'm not complaining, the season has been really good, so maybe we are a bit spoiled now. Besides, I'm fully expecting to see three 10's in a row in the last episodes. Le Good: * Sandor is back! We knew it already, yeah, but I'm soooo happy to see one of my favorite characters back! * The Blackfish is back, and he's the badass we remember. * Ian McShane was stellar, as we expected. * Lyanna Mormont!! Right there with Karsi and Arthur Dayne as one of those "amazing just one episode character". * King's Landing was entertaining, although nothing really important happened. Olenna to Dorne confirmed! Le Not So Good: * Being a long time Arya fan, I must say that her scenes tonight were... weird. I don't really know if I liked them or not, to be honest. * I was a bit disappointed with the northern tour, Lyanna Mormont aside. * Volantis was meh.

Hard one to rate this, will need to sleep on it as per. Initial reaction was an 8 but looking back over every scene it really worked as a standalone episode more than this show often does. But there was lots of heavy lifting which detracts from it in the context of the season. Reckon it will go down as an episode that lots of people don't find great but ends up doing a lot of the work towards the big payoffs at the end of the season.

Is it that shocking? Yep. I've changed it to an 8 after rounding. It was one of the weakest episodes of the season though. Although the last three coming up will definitely not be weak.

Probably an eight. But a rewatch could up it, depending on what I missed.

I stayed up for this. Worth it, but could be the hype. I'll sleep on it, and give it a rewatch, then give it a rating. For now, a placeholder 10

I'm giving it a 6 just like last week. Not bad episodes but nowhere near the others.
LIKES House Mormont The Wildling Speech King's Landing finally got interesting. Seeing the Tullys again.
DISLIKES I had hyped the Riverlands story so much in my mind that this was pretty disappointing. I wanted reformed Sandor and the Broken Man speech from Meribald. I don't want the Hound to go on some revenge quest against the Brotherhood, the only person I want to see him fight is his brother.
Yara was being really fucking insensitive to Theon and that made me feel bad.
I really hope these last three episodes are as strong as 2-5. They need to be.

The McShane/Hound stuff felt like it was out of a completely different show (a very good different show, but different nonetheless). It felt like a little character vignette that a lot of other shows do but that GoT doesn't usually have the time for. Extremely weird that they decided to reintroduce the Hound as part of his very own story and not through another established character's eyes (like Brienne). I liked it but it was made for a much different pacing than we're used to.
I'm not exactly sure why Arya needed to be stabbed, that seems like a weird way to continue her story when we know the Waif confrontation just picks up again in the next episode. She probably could have skipped this episode and it wouldn't have affected her story at all. I do wonder if they're setting up the fact that she'll need to "die" or switch faces like Jaqen did and that's why E8 is her big one with her getting the title dedicated to her.
Olenna be writing to Ellaria yo. And I do wonder if she's also writing to her old buddy Varys as well which is the reason why he leaves Meereen (I've been trying to figure out the reason he just bolts all season).
I know it doesn't appear like we're getting a Trial by Combat for Cersei but there are a lot of signs that they're setting up Loras to be the Faith's champion. Maybe that's the original plan because they think he can take out the Mountain but Cersei fucks up King's Landing before any of that occurs.

I think this was the weakest episode thus far (which doesn't mean bad). There were a lot of good scenes in this episode, but IMO nothing was great. It also didn't help that I'm pretty indifferent towards Sandor as a character. I guess he is a good character, I don't really mind him, but I don't need him to have his own separate storyline. I prefer Sandor to be part of other characters's storylines. As others have already remarked, his scenes felt like a completely different show. Also, the ending was totally underwhelming to me. I once again really liked everything with Jon and Sansa. King's Landing was also good. I think these were my favourite parts of the episode. I'm not sure why they needed to have that Arya scene. It felt weirdly out of place. But I have to say that Maisie is a freaking goddess. She was so good. It's a 7 from me.

Another strong episode, not as great as the two that preceded it - but a solid 8 nonetheless. Rallying the North is every bit the hardship that it ought to be. The world just keeps going as usual even with Jon as the appointed savior. Dunno how I feel about the kid who played Lyanna, though. Mostly she freaked me out.
The Arya stuff was great fun, the Waif reveal a classic WTF/LOL moment.
King's Landing gave me chills. Diana Rigg did some of her best work in the show, imo.
And the Blackfish was a far better character here than in season 3. Russell really sold it. You're allowed to see him as a hero and a villain at the same time (those old-time grudges could be the end of Westeros), which is great.
The Hound in Woodstock scenario was a nice concept that deserved to be explored a bit more imo. This is basically the same Hound from season 4. I'm not sure if that's the point. As to what they're doing with the BWB.... I'll wait for next ep. before passing judgment on that.

Would have been an eight, but the confirmation of CLEGANEBOWL raised it to 9.
It felt pretty short, but overall the episode was good. The opening was awesome, McShane was great. A shame they didn't give him Meribald's speech, but the speech he gave to Sandor and the villagers worked anyway. I'm now quite worried about certain leaks being true.
The scenes where Jon met with first wildlings, then the Mormonts and finally Glovers were all great. Lyanna and Robett particularly, I hope we see both of them again.

Good morning to you too, @rooseisazorhai . I should've known all those notifications were from him. For a moment I was worried I'd pissed people off somehow.
