Dany looked much better riding Drogon this time. Horn Hill looked amazing. Walder Frey back. Arya's strongest episode of the season imo. Benjen! A lot to like in this one.

I like how Benjen lied about being dead.
Benjen will never die. I've been waiting for years.
The Ben'd man lives!

So, overall I enjoyed the episode. This season continues to be very strong.
Arya
it's nice to see that after everything she hasn't lost her humanity. She can't stop being who she is and has decided to admit it to herself by not killing that innocent woman. She's killing the Waif, me thinks. Sort of has to now that the Waif is going after her.
Bran
It was great seeing the download he received from Bloodraven. I will have to watch it again to catch all the images that were flying by, but one thing seems to be very important and that is the Mad King and his saying of Burn them All, can this have something to do with the WW? It was very prominent part of the vision download.
King's Landing
THe High Sparrow once again playing everybody and smirking about it. I don't care for the Lannisters or the Tyrels but dude has to die, he's obviously just found a different way of being a power player. I don't think he ever reform, he just found a better con than the one he had been playing at, and with minimal effort of work on his part. I wonder how this will all go down in the end but I fear that poor Tommen has signed his death sentence.
Hornhill
Sam is my hero. Lord Tarly is a fucking douchbag, mofo needs to have his ask kicked (great actor). I felt horrible for Sam when he just sat there quietly taking his father's shit. Gilly was lovely defending her guy, you go girl. The end though was the best, Sam grabbing Heartsbane, the girl and getting the fuck out of there. I'm proud of you.
Dany
That was a nice seen but I'm sort of trying to understand why it was there. She had the Dothraki with her, I don't think it was needed but I'm not complaining about having it, the more of Dnay the better for me. A few things I noted, Daario pretty much verbalized what everyone says about Dany, that she is a conqueror and not a ruler. Second, Drogon looked amazing, the CGI was really good this time and Dany looked great on top of him. I have the sneaky suspicion that this won't be the last time we see Dany giving this type of speak atop her dragon. Her saying to the Dothraki that she will ask more of them than any khal made me think that she will be saying this very same thing to their soldier in the War for Dawn.

Pretty good. I wonder if they merged Benjen and Coldhands? Seemed to imply he died but the Children stopped him turning? D&D confirm he's "Coldhands Benjen" in the Inside-the-episode so they merged the two characters. I like how we finally have some answers as to why Coldhands was who he was. Maybe in the books he ends up being Benjen anyways since we never saw him remove his hood like on the show?

O boy! Did Joseph Mawle stay hidden off set, he must have other scenes. With the thick makeup on, I almost thought he was a recast actor. The undeath certainly hasn't done him any favors. But now we know the CotF have the power to stop the undead thing ... I just don't know if they're all extinct now or not.

Looked like it was Nikolaj playing Jaime with short hair so probably reshot. Seems like David Rintoul is the actor playing the Mad King, not sure if he's the same guy from the pilot here.

It was a long long time ago that GRRM made those margin notes , he may have changed his mind.

The Benjen reveal should have been played up and used as final scene. Dany was nice and all, but repetitive. The Benjen reveal was the bigger deal here.

Don't wanna be a party pooper, but some folks have asked us not to change our avatars to something that gives away a spoiler until...was it 24 hours after the episode airs?

They showed Catelyn getting killed in Bran's vision, they had Arya and the actress talk about a mother becoming mad over losing her son, they brought the Freys and the Tullys back and even mentioned the BwB by name. For a second there, I had hope. *COUGH* they kept Joseph Mawle largely hidden *COUGH* Perhaps they did the same for someone else....
