I wonder if they merged Benjen and Coldhands? Seemed to imply he died but the Children stopped him turning?

He might be some form of undead, Benjen that it. But yeah I agree with you they are probably margining him with Corldhand, which I'm fine with. It was a really nice reveal.

Pretty good. I wonder if they merged Benjen and Coldhands? Seemed to imply he died but the Children stopped him turning? That's what I got from his story. That the children prevented him from turning. I do think Benjen and Coldhands were merged, which is fine with me. I was super happy to see Benjen again. I am supposing he cannot go south of the Wall. It was nice to see Nikolaj get some material to work with, he was excellent tonight. Poor Edmure. He looks like he's been through hell. It did not seem to make sense to me that Walder Frey would be calling it the Red Wedding. I really don't see how Dany can be defeated at all. |

Daenerys gave the same speech to her Khalasar that Drogo gave his back in season 1 ... that rocked.
(Damn Drogon is massive... Dany was teeny tiny on his back!)

I bloody loved this episode. For a piece-moving setup episode it was really well-constructed. One or two gripes that I'll pick through soon but overall: Hail Cogman.
(This is the kind of episode Season 5 was full of so I'm expecting everyone else to have disliked it and me to find it one of my favourites so far haha).

I must say, I am shocked about the turn of events in Kings Landing. I wonder what Margaery was thinking when the armies rode up. Was she regretting her decision to save Loras via turning Tommen?

They showed Catelyn getting killed in Bran's vision, they had Arya and the actress talk about a mother becoming mad over losing her son, they brought the Freys and the Tullys back and even mentioned the BwB by name. For a second there, I had hope.  |

Yeah, piece-moving setup episode is pretty accurate. There were 1-2 scenes I was not able to enjoy due to my shitty stream, but I also liked it for what it was. I could have done with a different ending though. I like Dany, but badass Dany giving a speech was a bit repetitive, even if it was essentially there to reintroduce Drogon. I definitely need to rewatch. |

In one note, Groell asks if Coldhands was Benjen, and Martin responded with a definitive, "No." |
