I assume you just want the Riverlands specific stuff so it was:
Walder voiceover from S3 where he says "Look at us now Tully, you're dead, your daughter's dead, your grandson's dead, your son spends his wedding night in a dungeon and I'm Lord of Riverrun." All intercut with shots of everyone he mentions (shots not from RW). Then shots of the Blackfish with Roose noting he escaped and Walder saying it didn't matter because he's got Tywin backing him and Blackfish has no one.

His sons are such failures and his allies were both killed. One was shot while taking a shit and the other one got poisoned by his enemies.

I want to see him writhe in pain and bleed out on the floor.

Reagading GRRM use of death by childbirth, there have actually been six mother that I can remember dying of childbirth (Lady Tully, Joanna Lannister, Rhaella Targaryen, Lyanna Stark, Dalla (Mance's wife) and Aemon Steelsong's mother), I would say that is quite a few for this series. I would agree with you that the real problem is using death by childbirth to write the mother out our three heroes stories, but this is very common in fairy tales, see Disney. I would disagree highly that her death in battle fighting to defeat the others would somehow take away from her strength, power and magic, on the contrary it would actually show that it was these traits that allowed her to fight/defeat the others. It was her sacrifice to birth the dragons, her strath to gather her armies that became an integral part of the survival of humanity. It would if not mitigate the saddest of her lost, at least show that her lost was an important factor in the defeat of this plague that threaten to destroy humanity. I'm sorry about your grandmothers, that's really sad and teerible. But I stand by what I said, in this context that Dany's death of childbirth is demoralizing because she died for nothing else than being a woman. And don't worry I'm not mad, I just really hate the idea of Dany dying in childbirth. I would love for her to have children and continue the Targaryen line but I'm not sure that's in her cards. (OK, I'll break my promise. I hope you are still not wroth with me. ) Actually, in the part you answered here, I had spoken of childbirth. Yes, I understand the reasons as to why it would suck, but I had meant to say is that I don't think it would make Dany weak and take a from way her accomplishments. It would just mean she's a mortal person. The same goes for Jon or Tyrion dying of prostate cancer (yeah I know it's guaranteered not to happen). Bad stuff like that happens independently of a person's strength and women tend(ed) to have it worse than men because life is unfair. (What I find more disconcerting than the death of mothers in childbirth by itself is the fact that Maesters seem to be actually more knowledgable than medieval doctors and midwives, and they are usually able to save the child - even twins - but not the mother. Oh well, nobody's perfect.) To change the topic, how long do you figure it will take Bran to reach the Wall? It would be funny if after two seasons' worth of getting there, it would take him only half a season to get back. Then again, I have a (n unrealistic) desire for Bran to crash Jon'and Sansa's storyline in the finale. I hope Meera won't be offed once they reach their destination. Oh, I think Bran most likely will be using Litlefingers transporter. I think he definitely crossing the Wall by the end and we'll probably see the begging soft the Others bringing down the Wall. The show has been pretty oncomsistant about travel time but I chose to ignore that, in the grand scheme of things it's a minor transgression.

I think as the first woman to lead the dothraki and unite the khalasar's she is going to have to continually show her strength to them. So that scene is necessary. She also has to let her people know her plans and if they are willing to go through with that.

This is the first time Daenerys has addressed anyone outside of her closest confidantes about her ultimate plans outside of abolishing slavery in the cities around Slaver's Bay. I've heard people say it was a repetitious speech but unless you're referring to when Drogo gave the same speech back in Season 1, no, it's completely new territory for Daenerys. Bringing the Dothraki fully onboard with her plans to conquer Westeros is important and seeing their support. Seeing her walk out of a fire was one thing and the first step in gaining their worship ... but her riding Drogon and challenging them to conquer alongside her was gaining their allegiance.

I see how it may have seemed like an awkward place to put it. And I thought it ended kind of abruptly (I wanted more!) But if they couldn't put it in ep5 and couldn't in ep7 there was no other place they could have had this scene. Plus it is the first speech she has had to a group of people this season (I don't count the one in ep4) so I get how badass daenerys might get old but she hasn't had many speeches this season.

It was a good episode, with no major flaws, IMHO. A solid set-up piece, slow paced and with plenty to like. It was always pretty obvious that this episode wouldnt't get the raving reviews that last week episode got (after all, many people, specially Unsullied, are considering "The Door" now as one of the best episodes ever). It's always hard to follow up a widely acclaimed episode in any show. People tend to feel underwhelmed when the next episode don't reach the same greatness than the one before, but it's completely normal, even more when we are still in the Mid-Season. By the way, I was glad to see Baby Sam evolving to Toddler Sam. It was about time!
