Other than feeling utterly depressed between the Dany/Jorah scene and Hodor death, is it me or does the guy playing Euron suck? Very dissapointed with his portion of the Kingsmoot. He has a bit of a lisp sound like...

We all know Euron is going to be a fail right? I mean Yara just proved by stealing all the ships why she should be the Queen... I'm not too impressed with Euron yet...but I am willing to wait and see. I am thinking with Hodor was that maybe he suffered seizures but at the same time knew what his purpose was? I gotta think on this one some more. Legit sad over Hodor, Summer and Leaf. Most heartbreaking episode since Rains (throw in Dany saying goodbye to Jorah in there too..). I don't understand why Sansa lied to Jon. Then she gives him a coat and still doesn't fess up. Glad Brienne called her out on it, not that it made a difference. And fire cannot destroy them as we by the Night's King and friends walking through fire like no problem...what will defeat them? Valyrian steel and obsidian.

I think the Children created the Others to protect them against the First Men, but the Others became out of their control and eventually the Children had to team up with their enemy to defeat their ally. Also, I feel really bad for the children of the forest. All they wanted was to be left alone. They created ice demons... Ice. Demons.

It is weird, but incredibly interesting and important, I would say to the story. More than a few people had said that the CHildren created the Others and they were right. I can't think very intellectually right now but we really need to start putting these pieces together. there is some important shit here. But I can't process right now. What does this mean about the motivation of the Others? Are they still seeking to kill humans because that's what they were made for? But if the Children can't stop them, then it'll have to be man? How can they be destroyed? What kind of magic can destroy them if Children magic made them? I have a lot of questions... They can't be right anymore, they just got destroyed by the thing they created! Are there even any CotF left after that massacre?! You are right, they aren't Has anyone ever seen the series Stargate Sg-11. The Others sort of remind me of the Replicators. They were created for one thing but their created lost control of them and they destroyed her and almost destroyed the universe.

Regarding the fire, I think that DragonFire is different, but also Obsidien can kill them as we saw last season with Jon and this season with the amazing Meera.

People aren't liking Pilou? That's really surprising. Was give some underwhelming lines to deliver unfortunately but I thought he was great personally.

Guys, I mentioned this in the live reaction thread, but what do you make of the stones shapes that looked like the way the Others arranged the horses of the Nights Watch in season 2 (or 3).

Also Kinvara was fucking perfect.
Also so the guy being sacrificed was the Night's King right?
Also there's too much.

I had high hopes for the actor playing Euron but he didn't seem 'commanding' enough ... just sort of an asshole really. I know there was a lot of Euron hype amongst our group so I apologize now but I don't care for him good or bad guy either one.
The drowning scene was well done though, I did like that even if I don't like his character portrayal.

Is there enough of it go around and can Westeros get it's proverbial sh*t together in time before it becomes a wasteland and Dany flies over with her dragons is like, "Ooops, my GPS was wrong. I'm not ruling a wasteland of zombies."

And what role will Euron play in this, because I have the sense that he is there to play a major antagonistic role.

Even if dragonfire can't kill the Others themselves, it sure as hell kills their army. They will certainly be extremely useful, just not an automatic win card.

They give their explanation for why Sansa lied to Jon and didn't tell him she met Littlefinger in the Inside-the-episode video: I'm not really buying it though. Also, wouldn't Jon have known if Sansa and Brienne just decided to ride out of Castle Black to visit Mole Town?

Yeah I remember being pretty impressed with his badassery in the books even though I didn't care for the Ironborn story overall. As others are saying, he felt underwhelming at the kingsmoot at least until they drowned him. I guess that was redeeming. I'm willing to see if he develops some more in coming episodes but my first impression is they could have found a more sinister character than Pilou who seems like a pretty nice guy even in the scene (aside from what he said he'd do to Daenerys)
