So now I'm down off my high from Daenerys-the-unburnt .... I want to confess this show has the ability to make me so angry at one second and crying the next, and cheering the next. Barely 3 minutes into the episode and I was bawling like a baby when Sansa and Jon saw one another for the first time. This was the first the Starks have been together in years. Sansa not gonna take anymore shit. I love it! FINALLY.

Really off book now, GRRM said even Dragon Lords could burn, we got one now who doesn't. But he never said Daenerys was just like all the rest you know. He said her surviving the fire was a special deal but he didn't say it was only a one time thing did he? I really am not interested in hearing the mass book audience yammer on about this because they don't have a book in their hands to cite word for word from so if the show writers decided Daenerys is immune to fire then fuck the book at this point. They are at least finishing something. He apparently said: Granny: Do Targaryens become immune to fire once they "bond" to their dragons? George_RR_Martin: Granny, thanks for asking that. It gives me a chance to clear up a common misconception. TARGARYENS ARE NOT IMMUNE TO FIRE! The birth of Dany's dragons was unique, magical, wonderous, a miracle. She is called The Unburnt because she walked into the flames and lived. But her brother sure as hell wasn't immune to that molten gold. Revanshe: So she won't be able to do it again? George_RR_Martin: Probably not. Source

The twitter reactions to this episode are amazing! The only place that appears even a slightly negative is /r/asoiaf (expected) because of the unburnt stuff.
Man, I need to watch it again ASAP.

I'm surprised y'all thought Dany's scene was too rushed. She stood there listening to their shit-talk for 10 minutes. How long did you really want this Dothraki bullshit to go on ... really? I'm happy as hell to be done with it and move on. There's only so much show left - can we please just get her the hell out of Essos already? If I were writing the show and making her immune to fire...she would have already been Westeros burning shit down. I need her in Westeros already. Probably a good thing I am not writing the show. I guess it was the way it was filmed and how fast the place went up and how dumb the Dothraki were portrayed to be...I dunno, I wish I had a better explanation for you. They needed her out of there and they did it. And now she's got a Dothraki army.

The ladies killed it in that episode. All of them.
Ramsay needs to go ASAP.
Happy people are calling Tyrion out on his shit. All jokes and no progress since he got to Meereen. But he can't leave til Dany does so he's stuck there I guess.
Dany scene was good but something was a bit...off? Maybe just me idk. Glad she's getting back to her old self though.
Tormund and Brienne. I ship it.

SourceI know the majority of the entire book loving universe (and trust me, I think I have a right to be a little salty since I've been reading the books for 20 years now) is going to be pinched in the ass that they decided to make her immune to fire so yes .... I do respect all your GRRM quotes but guess what? I don't care. I don't have a book in my hands to wave around like a bible. What I have is a really good show adaptation that has gone beyond the books. So as far as I'm concerned that's good enough canon for me. And as I said, I'm a very long time book reader, probably longer than some have been able to read. I'm not being snotty, I'm just saying sometimes you gotta let shit go and enjoy what is for what is.

Don't we know that Dany does not leave Essos this season? We don't don't know when that happens next season.

I'm glad others have started to notice the flaws of Tyrion, I was not happy with his actions and I find Grey Worms last words ominous. Tyrion thinks himself to bright by half and it'll bite him in the ass. Hopefully this will be a good serving of humble pie.

DAENERYS TARGARYEN THE UNBURNT!!!!! YAASSSSS! That was some awesome damn parallel to 1x10 Daenerys rebirth by fire ... once again she rules the Dothraki! "To go forward you must go back..." Bow you shits, BOW! Yep, except now it's 100,000 not 100!

In the Inside-the-episode bit they said they referenced Abe Lincoln's methods on trying to end slavery by easing the opposition into it and buy some time. Tyrion is like a Westerosi Dwarf Abe Lincoln... who knew!

emilia pulled a lena and used cgi and a body double for her nude scene You're sure? Did they say that somewhere? I didn't notice. Then again I didn't notice Lena either until I read it. I guess that makes sense they could have used her S1 shot...

Well we still don't know if there was a difference between ordinary Valyrians and Dragon Lord Valyrians.

If he's going to get along with Jon and Dany he needs to better understand the plight of commoners and those even less than commoners. I think that was hinted at when Varys mentioned that he walks like a rich man. I think he's about to be humbled, yet again.

That would be good character development for him. Husband has a question about the Dothraki, are they all in the same group of Dothraki (like part of Khal Drogo's clan)? I said at least in the show they are, but I have no idea.

I find it hard to imagine anyone's so expert on her breasts as to be able to tell if they're hers or not.

I guess that makes sense they could have used her S1 shot... Emilia did an interview published about 20 minutes ago saying it's all her. She did it on a closed set aka she wasn't naked in front of thousands of people, but it's definitely her body.

I'm willing to bet money those are Emilia's actual boobs.
