I'm personally more concerned about Jorah endangering everyone by walking around with an infectious disease than I am about Daario. He already put Dany at risk from it in Daznak's Pit, and the more people he interacts with the bigger the risk becomes.

We know it's possible from Shireen but we don't know how they did it to save her. I'm pretty sure they decided to have Jorah be the greyscale victim as a plot device for the ultimate 'sacrifice' for Daenerys at some point though. I'm dreading it.

IIRC they were able to stop Shireen's greyscale as Stannis called for the best maesters in westeros and i think people in essos as well. They managed to stop the spread. But i think it was because she was so young they were able to do it. I'm not sure Jorah will be so lucky.

Right but we have no idea what actual medical (or magical) methods were used to stop the spread on Shireen. I think she's the only person known to have been fully cured of it even though it left the marks/scars behind. I've always wanted to know how they did it specifically and if it could work on others.

Shireen isn't the only person to have been cured of greyscale. It's survivable as a child, but the chances of surviving reduce drastically the older you are when you contract it.

I guess Sam might be able to shed some light on it having met Shireen now and going to study at the Citadel.

He needs to figure out how/where they can get more valyrian steel or other ways to defeat the white walkers, the magical properties of the wall (if that's even a thing on the show), history of the CotF, and yeah, how Shireen was healed would help too!

Well he basically knows now that Valryian steel and dragonglass are effective in killing WW I think his studies will focus on why, so the properties of these elements. He may have access to some of the magic behind them to perhaps make more blades/swords. That would be awesome! Though i don't think he'll be able to study at the Citadel for very long. A storm is coming

So it seems it's already working on him on the inside.

I know she still has Missandei, and now has Tyrion, but it makes me sad she could soon not have either Barristan or Jorah by her side.

I don't think it will have a big effect in the books like some have speculated. The disease is too slow to spread and can be easily rid of. Plus WW are coming and there won't be enough time for it to really effect westeros. Plus Jon Con is very conscious of it and unlikely to infect anyone *on purpose*

Ya know, now that I think about it, this might explain why his fighting in the pit was less than stellar after he was so great in the semifinals. He's getting progressively worse. It is really sad. He has romantic feelings toward her, but I think she sees him as a parental figure, and he's her last one left.

They want the 'unrequited love' story between Jorah and Dany to end with his complete sacrifice because he's dying of Greyscale. It's working because whenever I see live reactions like this past week where Daario discovers it on Jorah, fans are like "Ah shit, poor Jorah, dammit man, you're not long for this world..." so it's definitely setting up a long tragedy arc which they love to do like Theon.

I'm beginning to wonder if Jorah will last season 6 out. He may ask Dany to kill him before it gets worse and he goes out by dragon fire. Thus fulfilling the part of the 3 fires prophecy.

I can't find where we were discussing Rhaegar, so I'll just put this here. I saw the picture of Jared Leto below and realized that 1) He looks like he could be Emilia's brother, and 2) Literally anyone could play Rhaegar, 'cause they're just going to put a white wig on a brunette with big black eyebrows anyway. And with longer hair

I highly doubt we'll see a flashback of Rhaegar as cool as that would be. I don't think they're going to recreate him in Game of Thrones the show unless it's a spinoff about Robert's Rebellion.
