It's better this way. Two nearly identical threads is confusing

Although that might be wishful thinking on my part. D&D not mentioning the SS ever again that is.

I don't know if this has been discussed yet, but it seems that Obara and Nym are in King's Landing now. In that establishing shot before Trystane's death the boat was still in the same place where it was when Jaime got off. I wonder if they'll be part of the KL storyline or if they'll just go back to Dorne. I wouldn't be too surprised if D&D just don't mention them again until Dany lands in Westeros. I'm just hoping that ship sinks to the bottom of Blackwater Bay somehow.

I don't really understand the need for spoiler tags in a post episode thread. Why would people be in here that haven't seen the episode?

Well....that was interesting.
I have to say the biggest surprise of the episode was Dorne. Book readers have plenty of hints about Mel's age, we knew Brienne would come to the rescue, etc. But the murder of Doran and Trystane! Don't think anyone saw that coming. Until I watched, I though maybe Trystane would head to Meereen to try to make an alliance with Dany, and pick up some similarities to the Dornish book plot. Now it seems that Dorne is the most off-book place in the GOT world, start to finish. It is not that nothing can be learned about where the book story might go from the show, but only with a great deal of imagination and speculation. Nothing at all directly corresponds.
The impact of events in Dorne is huge even if you don't like how the Dornish storyline has been executed. Doran is dead without heirs. The Sand Snakes are popular in Dorne we know, but I very much doubt any of them can actually lead Dorne, if only because not a single one of them would submit to being ruled by any of the others. I think they all go on missions elsewhere (KL, Meereen, Oldtown). I would think this means there must be some character who steps in who is an ally of the Sand Snakes but with more legitimacy. Maybe Ellaria marries them and gains a leadership role that way. Hard to say. In the show she is clearly the leader of the Sand Snakes, but she has zero claim when it comes to leading Dorne even if her daughters have claims.

But i'm not sure if that was a 'closing' scene and if Dorne will be revisited much if, at all for the rest of the season. The Iron Islands will take its place in terms of screentime.

Can we please give some attention to the brilliant end credits music?
I really, really, really, really, really hope this ends up being UnJon's (AKA Stannis 2.0) personal theme. It's mostly a variation o the LoL theme, but the beginning reminds me of the wildling themes and the end reminds me a bit of the Stark theme. At the very least it should be played during Jon's resurrection scene.

So I guess the Maester in the Ramsay scene was the Submissive Maester from the casting calls, right? Even George does it. There will be a Maester número uno , he may get killed, then popping out of the woodwork is second string Maester. Where did he come from?.... Maester-in-a-Box?

And Doran was walking LOL We have seen this before , D&D will have sequences they concentrate on and then story narrative that they don't care about or are tired of they just fluff out. I am thinking about the mess they cooked up for Qarth in S2 , they didn't want to put in the hard work imagination to fix up a difficult narrative in the books so they just coasted.
