If he does die, I imagine it will be from some wound from the outlaws who we know he has a scene with. But I think it's as likely that that was just an off-hand reference from him and that Sue's comment about hearing a rumour to that effect could be wrong too. We'll see. I just hope he gets to give the speech before he dies (if he dies). I think that's the whole point of getting McShane in the show in the first place.

House Mazin.... what the fuck is that? Umbers fighting against the Starks? House Mazin's a show-only minor house mentioned in s5 named after a writer friend of D and D's who essentially saved the show by giving advice about changes to the pilot that it needed. We still don't know the full picture about the Umbers either. I think it's very likely they switch sides at the right time because they have Rickon after all. True. Still no mention of house Manderly, even though we still believe that Sansa will interact with Lord Wyman?

It said there was a scene with Northern lords IIRC and this character's speech sways them presumably to side with the Starks. So it'll be a variation of his speech and I think will be delivered to Sansa and/or Davos. I wouldn't be surprised if this gif is from that scene.
She's well-dressed again here with a fancy chandelier behind her. So I think it's in whichever castle she's in where the Northern lords are meeting.

Yes I think Sansa and Davos will go meet with the Northern Lords while Jon convinces Tormund and the Wildlings to fight with him in Snowbowl. I think Wyman only appears in one episode, but I'm pretty sure "the stirring speech" he gives will be a nod to "The North Remembers" speech from ADWD. Ninja'd by @konradsmith

Is it possible that we get a separate court scene and one "hidden audience", like in the books? This speech could be delivered by an Umber, but that would be weird, since they cast someone like Wyman already.

The group that Sansa and Davos win over will be fighting against the Boltons to begin with while I think the Umbers will turn on the Boltons at a more impactful time in the course of the Snowbowl.

Also more McShane giving absolutely no fucks in an interview. The man's earned it. I am irrationally offended by Sue using the word facetious.

This speech could be delivered by an Umber, but that would be weird, since they cast someone like Wyman already. Well the other Lord from the casting calls is very likely Cley Cerwyn, who's parents were flayed by Ramsay and displayed at Winterfell during "High Sparrow" for not paying their taxes and being too loyal to the Starks: "He’s a callow young nobleman in his 20’s who has been thrust into a position of power before he is ready. They’re looking for an actor using a Northern accent, and one who is physically fit, can play somewhat hot-headed and can look rugged.
Our source says the character has a couple speeches in a scene with leading cast. He’s only expected to shoot for one day- December 16th- in Northern Ireland."
He also appears during the scene with Wyman Manderly, so leading cast points to Sansa and Davos.

I think this is the girl with Yara from the trailer btw. Minor observation, I know, but her cheekbones and eyebrows look the same. Are you saying that scene wasn't in Essos, then?

Good catch. Maybe he's one of the guys burning on the crosses in 5x09?

I would say either Stannis, Osha, and Roose are potential candidates. I don't think it's Stannis for two reasons: 1) He was beheaded and I don't think the Boltons would bother to sew his head back to his body; and 2) The corpse looks fresh, too red. Stannis would be long dead by then and his flayed body wouldn't be so red. I think the two corpses are Osha and some new Stark loyalist Northern lord, maybe an Umber who took care of Rickon and that was betrayed by a family member who supports the Boltons (hence the Umber troops fighting alongside the Boltons).

The redditor who was leaking stuff also said that Rickon was part of Snowbowl "in a way", but claimed that he wasn't one of the characters on the crosses. I bet we are going to see his head being paraded or his flayed skin being worn as a cape by Ramsay or something. One way or another, I think Rickon is toast. It would be weird to bring back a character just to kill him off, but it's very typical of D&D to kill someone off when they outlive their usefulness, so I won't rule it out.

I think he'll be alive at the beginning of it anyways. Either Sue or Javi said something about there being more Starks there than just Sansa and Jon and I think if the Boltons were to have killed Rickon, he'd be on the cross more prominently than anyone else which we know he's not. Plus we already see Ramsay's Snowbowl outfit and there ain't no Rickon on it.
Also I'm leaning towards not believing that redditor because I really don't see the point in displaying Osha's corpse when she's really pretty small potatoes and its not like the wildlings would know who she is anyways. Jon and Sansa certainly wouldn't either.

I just don't want any more Starks to die ugh, even someone as minor as Rickon

First of all, let me just say that I love the bolded sentence And you're right, he's not wearing a Rickon, but he could "wear" him later on. I think it's more likely that Ramsay will bring Rickon to the battle just to kill him in front of Jon and the Stark forces. I still don't believe 100% in what the redditor said, but he claimed not to know who the characters on the crosses were, he just said that Osha dies at some point in the story. I agree that she's not relevant enough to any of the characters to be displayed on a cross.

I'd be much more bothered by Osha's death than Rickon's, that's why I don't want to believe this guy knows everything.
