My theory is that they didn't think it was necessary and since source material (and the fans of it) means nothing to them they just didn't include it The guy is nicknamed "the Crow's Eye".. so yeah it matters.. Not to the writers :/ After reading those reddit spoilers I'm now 99% sure Stannis is on that cross. Guys it's me. Of course one of my favs is not in the show and the other is being humiliated even after he was killed off

Maybe they though that it would be too stereotypical? Pirates having eyepatches and all that. I don't think the books ever told why he wears it.

Do we think Cersei will get her revenge on the High Sparrow this year, or could it bleed into season seven?
I only ask because I feel like if she does kill him/raid the Sept/whatever else anyone's suggested she do, it would be a very public scene, and nothing of that nature has been filmed.

I kinda have a feeling that maybe that will begin in finale? Those children are stabbing someone, there is this 'I choose violence' thing and also I don't really know what else could be done in this storyline....but it could possibly last for few more seasons depending what Cersei's storyline will be, I mean she is already challenging them in this season so how else this can be resolved other than either her or Sparrows losing

Stephen Dillane gave the best ending for Stannis. Stannis does not need many words. With time I do hope that Stannis's end will grow in some appreciation.

The High Septon might hear that and say something to the effect of like "then you'll get violence. Your fate will be settled in a trial by combat"

I don't think the books ever told why he wears it. Yeah, we know they like to tone down over-the-top characters, like Daario, Xaro Ducksauce, Hizdahr and the like, so maybe they wanted to make Euron more seriosu or something. Still, I would prefer to keep the eyepatch, it makes him more unique.

I don't think the books ever told why he wears it. Doesn't he have "a black eye filled with malice" underneath it or something like that? I can vaguely remember that phrase from one of the earlier books when Theon's remembering him long before he shows up in AFFC.

I think this is the girl with Yara from the trailer btw. Minor observation, I know, but her cheekbones and eyebrows look the same.

If he does die, I imagine it will be from some wound from the outlaws who we know he has a scene with. But I think it's as likely that that was just an off-hand reference from him and that Sue's comment about hearing a rumour to that effect could be wrong too. We'll see.

Speaking of reddit, do we have enough info to confirm or deny this guy's Snowbowl spoilers? archiechvyalthan ? @konradsmith ? @alcasinoroyale ? I'm starting to believe he's the real deal. This is from a post of his from 5 months ago: We all thought the Umbers would fight against the Boltons, but we've recently learned that they are actually fighting by their side. This guy knew that five months ago. House Mazin.... what the fuck is that? Umbers fighting against the Starks? Euron's eyepatch is too cliche? Here we go again..

House Mazin's a show-only minor house mentioned in s5 named after a writer friend of D and D's who essentially saved the show by giving advice about changes to the pilot that it needed. We still don't know the full picture about the Umbers either. I think it's very likely they switch sides at the right time because they have Rickon after all.
