I do indeed. That's about where I thought this one would be, mid to high 70's. I was suprised to see the PG-13 rating though. I feel most Coen bros movies are R.

The rating will probably go down some still but this is more where I expected it. The upper end of mixed or the lower end of fresh. That's how their screwball comedies tend to be received.

And while I'm Coens-stanning this should capture Basil 's interest at least.

No one was excited for kubo and the two strings But then again not many people are probably a fan of claymation.

I'm excited for Deadpool, it looks so fun. Yeah, me too. I've always liked him in the comics, and Ryan Reynolds is perfect for him. R rated comic book movies are a plus too. Right now I'm looking forward to Hail Caesar, Deadpool, and The Witch. Should be a good February for going to the movies.

Pasted some from the old thread Blood Meridian is one of my favorite books. It's hard to read, sure, but it's a masterpiece of a psychological western. Judge Holden is one of the most frigthening characters ever. Seriously, if anyone thinks Ramsay Bolton is a monster, he/she should read Blood Meridian. After Holden, barely anything compares in term of pure evilness. He's an amazing character. Of course the part would be really difficult to cast. I guess John Goodman could probably do a good job. But Phillip Seymour Hoffman would've been even better. I couldn't see either of them as Holden tbh. I pictured him much more physically imposing. I remember him being described as super tall. Great book. Need to read it again. It's been a few years and I think it would greatly benefit from a re-read now that I'm older. After seeing The Proposition I think Hillcoat would be a good choice for an adaptation. Similar vibes. Watched two Sergio Corbucci Westerns yesterday. Django (1966) and The Great Silence (1968). I wish I could have watched the Italian version of Django with subtitles cause the English dubbing was just awful. Other than that I liked the movie, Not as much as any of Leones Dollars trilogy (pretty close with A Fistful of Dollars actually) but I gotta say Django was more badass than the man with no name. The Great Silence was definitely the better of the two. Klaus Kinskis character is up there with El Indio from A Few Dollars More as my favorite western "villain". He was great. It's more comparable with Once Upon A Time in the West than the Dollars trilogy though darker in tone and not as epic in scale. Just like The Hateful Eight (Tarantino obviously was influenced heavily by both these movies) the snowy setting and Morricones tremendous score make for a wonderful atmosphere. The ending is what makes it stand out as one of my favorite westerns though. Fuck that shit was dark as hell. Did not expect it to go down like that at all

I didn't really know YouTube film critics was a niche. Glad people are enjoying Hail Caesar. Gonna go out and see it soon I'm sure.

I tend to agree with him more often than not. We have pretty similar taste too.

And yep, count me in the (pessimistic?) people who think that Batman vs Superman is going to suck.

Though I could also see Vincent D'Onofrio in the part.
And of course Hillcoat did the Road, so he knows how to pull it off. I'd still prefer Andrew Dominik though because of the Assassination of Jesse James. And he really ought to work more.

Doctor Strange 6. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice I really only care about the first 3. And I only want to see Suicide Squad to see Margot Robbie play Harley Quinn. X-Men is my shit though.

Captain America: Civil War is the comic movie I'm most hyped for. I'm also slightly terrified of them killing off some of my favs.
