I've been really disconnected of GoT lately so I don't know if this theory is yours or a famous one these days but I really like that idea... in fact, to me it'll make total sense if they do it that way and I'd probably love it. Edit: Sorry I messed up with the quote! hahah I was talking about this: "Arya killing Walder Frey wearing Robb or (most likely)Catelyn's face"

i can get with the idea of Arya taking Cat's face. But it won't make sense.
The Hall of Faces is made up of people who have sacrificed themselves to the many-faced god. I think Jaquen took a face of a man he killed (sacrificed to the Red God) but i don't think Arya can just take ANY face. Especially someone she did not kill herself.

I took it as Jon warning Sansa, Tyrion, Dany, Cersei, Arya, and Jaime about the white walkers and if they don't do something about it, they'll all die.

i love that all the promos for the show just keep reinforcing the fact that the starks, targaryens and lannisters are the most important characters.
GOT/ASOIAF gets too much of a reputation of killing off major characters imo. When in reality, the only major characters that have died are Ned and Cat (bc they were Starks and POV characters).

Yeah I mean if I'm analyzing each piece of the teaser, even though all the quotes are from previous seasons, it could be: Ned saying "The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword" is foreshadowing Jon or Sansa taking Ramsay's head. Robb saying "I've won every battle, but I'm losing this war" and Joffrey saying "Everyone is mine to torment" is in reference to the War of the Five Kings, but the War for the Dawn is the real war. And with Arya and the acting troupe, we'll see a satirical reenactment of this in Braavos at Izembaro's Theatre. Cat saying "Show them how it feels to lose what they love" could be what she's saying to her children to reclaim Winterfell and get revenge for what the Lannisters and the Freys have done to their house. I guess they used The House of Black and White to showcase that they've all been faces in the Game of Thrones, but that the White Walkers are going to be the biggest problem for them in the end like what Jon said "The Long night is coming and the dead come with it." But yeah I wish they did show new footage, hopefully in the next week or so.

I was wondering that this morning, when discussing Arya taking Cat's (or Robb's) face with a friend...was there some rule about the faces and where they came from. @alcasinoroyale, I like your take on the trailer. To me I thought it was reinforcing the danger the characters faced on the show (still surprised Tywin did not get a voiceover)...we've seen the deaths of some important characters over the years that were shocking (Ned, Catelyn, Robb, who killed Joffrey) but also reinforcing that their families have a role to play in the end game and they won't be safe doing so. Almost saying to the audience we can kill any character we want to. Jon's line to me only is telling because I know he's back from the spoiler pictures-the long night is coming and dead with it. Sure is Jon. Sure is.

It doesn't even feel like a teaser, just a promotional video. Teasers should require, actual footage of what they are teasing. Not true. Teasers don't have to show any actual footage, their main mission is to create hype before a trailer arrives and transmit some ideas, in this case, they used it to remind us of character deaths that will probably be relevant this year (with the remaining Starks getting stronger and maybe getting some justice for what happened to their family, Cersei's prophecy coming closer now that both Joffrey and Myrcella are dead, and the White Walkers approaching the Wall after the one person with the right priorities was killed). And then they give us a glimpse of the characters that still remain. Trailers are the ones that require actual footage.

There seems to be a mix of stuff that may pertain to season 6. Every character on the show may have been in the Hall. I could swear I see Dany and Bronn. Some characters may be there as a 'gouge'. Some maybe a hint. Remember we are not supposed to know that a young Ned is in the story this season. Heck Bean might have even shot a cameo in London as a 'talking head' in a vision, probably not. As for Cat , hmmm, that could be a real spoiler.

As for Cat , hmmm, that could be a real spoiler. I think ALL of the talking faces will appear in season 6, and all of them in relation to Arya's acting troupe (the faceless men are also essentially "actors"). Maybe that is why they've been selected. Ned will appear 3 times: at the Tower of Joy, as a child in Winterfell, and as a character in a play. Joffrey is confirmed to appear as a character in a play. Cat is not part of the Braavos play, but she'll be a character in the Riverlands play if there is one. (Essie Davis looks like a younger Fairley). And Robb would be central to any Red Wedding-type play. As for faces and their rules, it is true that in the books one had to have died as a sacrifice to the many-faced god. But this is an arbitrary detail that the show can get around (they can easily just say that ALL deaths satisfy the many-faced good, willing or not). From a showrunner's perspective, what good is Arya's power if it doesn't give us the chance to see some old cast member back for a while? That's going to be part of the fun once Arya gets to Westeros, I think.

As far as taking faces go, I thought they could only be ones sacrificed to the Many Faced God? Arya taking Cat's face would be a gigantic cop out and fuck you to LSH fans. It wouldn't be the same.

It definitely wouldn't be the same. But it would give Fairley the opportunity to play Cat's vengeful dark side without a speech impediment and the zombie makeup Alex Graves seemed so scared of

IMO:
LSH on the show > Arya using Cat's face > No Cat/LSH at all.
So if LSH is indeed out, Arya using Cat's face is still better than nothing and IMO the only somewhat acceptable alternative.
