I love both versions pretty much equally, although if I was the one to decide it, I would have done it like in the books. Hun, you would do EVERYTHING like it is in the books. Definitely everything in regards to Catelyn. But I'm actually pretty happy with some of the changes the show's made, like for example drastically cutting Tyrion's horrible ADWD storyline. But that's a discussion for another thread, this place is holy.

IMO a 1:1 adaptation of the RW wouldn't have worked, because the only reason why Cat's laughter isn't comical is because GRRM uses a character-focalisation narrative technique. We know what Cat's thinking so her reaction isn't comical but tragic. On TV you don't have that kind of luxury, so you have to work with other techniques or change the scene accordingly. So yeah, changing it was the right decision for me.

Damn it Walder, may Stonheart hang you... Sometimes I dream with an episode in Season 6... We are in the last minutes. Black Walder Frey is being dragged through the woods by some members of the brotherhood. Under a tree, Thoros of Myr and a hooded figure await. We only heard the wind and Black Walder begging for mercy. Someone puts a noose around his neck. Then, the hood comes down and we see her. "No. No, I saw her die. She was dead for a day and night before we stripped her naked and threw her body in the river. We opened her throat from ear to ear", screams Black Walder in fear and agony. Thoros says, softly and bitterly: "She don't speak... but she remembers." After a swift move, Black Walder is hanging dead from a tree. The screen fades to black, and we heard a voiceover of Thoros 's saying: "Hang them, my lady... Hang them all". Cut to credits.

I'm not a huge fan of the art style, but I still love the hell out of this video. Pls watch it, it's pretty fucking amazing, it made me cry.

God, I really love that video so much.
I love how violently her body reacts to the resurrection, how it is bending and twisting. And I love how her hair turns white from the spell. I've imagined that moment many times, as sadly we don't see it in the books, and this is a really beautiful and haunting depiction, I love it.
Sometimes I wonder if Lady Stoneheart is in constant physical pain caused by her slashed throat that didn't heal when she was resurrected.

Aside from "they" reading as "theu" I really like this.
