Dude, you sound like Draco Malfoy. I hope I didn't come across as a Draco Malfoy type of person, I wasn't being completely serious. You probably know by now that my bf also loves video games as much as I do - and he has a real full-time job that he's been doing for many years. He often purchases new games on release day, so naturally I don't have to. With the Final Fantasies, it's a different topic altogether, I'm a fanboy who needs to own everything Final Fantasy. I was just joking. And I'm actually happy for you. I'm always one console generation behind, because I don't have much money to spend on games, but I'm looking for a job at the moment. I don't really need to have a job now, but I'm not gonna lie, the main reason I want one is that I want to buy a PS4 and still be able to pay my rent.

Listening to this is the closest I will ever come to having a religious experience. I'm serious. Ever since you posted this yesterday, I haven't been able to get the Hymn out of my head. I absolutely love that all the aeons have different voice types too, depending on their personality. Shiva and Valefor are sopranos, Ifrit is a very classic, operatic tenor, Yojimbo and Ixion might be bass or baritone (I'm not entirely sure which), Bahamut a boy soprano and Anima an alto.

Let's talk about Final Fantasy, fellow Final Fantasy fans. What is your favourite scene from your favourite Final Fantasy?

Very clever. Mine is the You're Not Alone-scene from Final Fantasy 9. That freaking track kills me emotionally.

I think Nibelheim or the "everyone is dead in the Shinra building OMFG Sephiroth is back"-scene take the cake for me. Both scared the shit out of me. Generally, I love FFVII because it is by far the scariest one (honourable mention to VIII, though).

Well my favorite ones are X and XII and I'll never be able to choose one over the other, but a favorite from X is Jack, I can shag you in Macalania Lake while we listen to cheesy JPop. No problem.

I cry everytime I see Valefor giving Tidus a mournful hug.

And I don't care how much people make fun of this scene, it'll always have a special place in my heart.

When I first played/saw that scene, I was way too young to hate it and now I'm too nostalgic about it to hate it.

I feel like this is the most misinterpreted scene in gaming history. Their laughter is meant to be fake and awkward, that's the entire point of that scene. Neither Tidus, nor Yuna have anything to laugh about. He is forever stranded in Spira, she is going to die. So they fake it, because it's better than crying or being depressed. Freaking Wakka even makes fun of them, this scene is not meant to represent genuine laughter, until the moment they're done faking it - that's when they start laughing for real. I love this scene.
