I just rewatched the episode (5x10) and I'll say this. Had they showed the skirmish between Stannis' men and the Bolton cavalry and had Stannis died in it, I'd be pissed. But I wouldn't be as pissed as now that Brienne killed him offscreen.

It can get worse. The Boltons can find him and flay his corpse. It revolts me how possible it is in that show. My only hope is that if they send that script to Stephen he tells them to go fuck themselves.

BTW I just realized even if Battle of Winterfell happens offscreen in the show, it's still my almost favourite battle to date. It starts when the one Baratheon soldier tells Stan that "It's not going to be a siege, Your Grace" and ends when Sansa looks at Bolton men surrounding Stannis' troops. The music, the cavalry shots and then the epic shot of Stannis drawing his force.
But fuck it, the Bolton's theme is almost HEROIC.

Someone should really make a medley with that piece along with this one from season 3 and this one from season 4. |

 Kerry Ingram told Stannis! I think Stannis is dead. That makes me partially sad because with him gone the Bolton's are there to stay. Plus Dillane is gone which makes GoT poorer. And finally, I never thought I'll be rooting for Petyr and his Vale army quite so much :-X

Did anyone notice how gradually, Stannis wore less and less armour in his scenes and started wearing regular clothes? Just something weird I realised when re-watching. His 24-Hour platemail was cool as fuck. And the Stannis cape? Nothing quite compares to this epicness  |
