Apparently I should've been more clear that comment was a joke. Sorry for jumping down your throat.

Apparently I should've been more clear that comment was a joke. Sorry for jumping down your throat. Janicia you need an avatar! I enjoyed Dany and Drogon's finale. It was, for me, one of the only positive moments of the entire finale really aside from Arya's revenge killing of Trant which was satisfyingly brutal. Someone said they felt it didn't go enough into Dany's progression as in the book, but we readers must keep reminding ourselves that it's nearly impossible to portray "Point of View" like in a book because you can't really act out internal thoughts and conversations the character has with themselves while thinking and going through that progression so how would they have possibly done that effectively when she's out there all alone with Drogon and he obviously didn't have time for deep conversations with Mom. Watch the scene again and divest yourself of the need to have serious PoV internal dialogue and I think you will enjoy the scene more and be less disappointed. They gave us far more than I ever anticipated. I honestly thought they were going to leave off with her flying away - or maybe just a brief scene of them out in the grass sea somewhere and nothing else for the ending. That she actually had dialogue with Drogon and a great CGI scene of him dumping her on her ass was very satisfying to me. It shows that Dany and Drogon have a long way to go in building a strong relationship. Drogon's completely in control right now and Dany's alone and hungry - which is not something she's used to. They could have ended it there, dragged it out to next season showing her wandering around, gnawing on Drogon's leftover meals, pooping herself, getting sick and all that but did we really need that? I don't think so. Fast forwarding to the Khalasar showing up was a very good choice because it amped up the excitement and left it on a cliffhanger the same as all the other characters had in the finale. Man this was the cliffhanger episode to rule all cliffhangers.

I imagine there'll be locals and whatnot who tell Jorah and Daario which way Drogon flew. From there on, his nest shouldn't be hard to spot. Finding the ring will require a bit of suspension of disbelief of course but from then on, as Jorah said in ep. 103, "The horde's easy to find."

Remember Daario picking on Tyrion in the throne room scene? He asked Tyrion if he could do three things: 1. Track animals 2. Fight 3. Ride a horse They're going to track Drogon and the Khalasar (should not be difficult to track that many horses as you said, the horde is easy to find). And fighting and riding are a given out in the wilds like that. I agree with you about the ring, but Fire and Blood had a great point... all those horses running in a circle is going to kick up a lot of dirt in one area... they'll be able to see that and search around and find the ring. Honestly once they find Drogon's lair and the horse tracks it will be pretty obvious anyways so they probably didn't even need the ring breadcrumb but whatever.

I imagine Dany could drop her necklace and other ring too, if they want to give her more breadcrumbs.
