It looked like Dany being absorbed by quicksand made of Dothraki riders, it was awesome!

I heard a podcast where thought it was silly that Daenerys dropped that ring because that trick wouldn't work to help locate her.
Well...
It is possible they find the remains of Drogon's obvious and large feast and then discover her ring close by?

I wish that she had been with Drogon when the Dothraki found her. That would've been a cooler moment, IMO.

It is possible they find the remains of Drogon's obvious and large feast and then discover her ring close by? I was thinking about this as well. They explained on the inside-the-episode video that she dropped it to be a breadcrumb for anyone looking for her. Of course the chances of someone seeing a small ring in that huge land of grass and rocks is pretty slim but this is a fantasy story so of course Daario and Jorah will find it. They'll probably find the pile of blackened bones too ... or maybe see Drogon flying around without her and follow him. I wish that she had been with Drogon when the Dothraki found her. That would've been a cooler moment, IMO. I'm guessing they kept him off screen to raise the tension and give it a more uncertain outcome for Dany that way. Everyone knows if Drogon is with her, she's more safe from attackers. It also gives everyone hope he's going to wake up and come save her ... again. Drogon is the only hero in the story right now! hehe.

Well, Dany's white hair will be well remembered. And with the Khalasar close enough to ride up in such force, and that close to Drogon's lair, they will of course be aware of Drogon and will have seen him in the area. (And we know Drogon likes horsemeat, hah).
Thanks, Envie, for the reminder of the prophecy about going back in order to go forward.

Someone mentioned that the ring she dropped was her mother's. It wasn't, her mother's ring is the dark one, the one she dropped was big, white and hideous.

How should anyone find that tiny ring in the Dothraki Sea? Do Daario and Jorah carry metal detectors?

How should anyone find that tiny ring in the Dothraki Sea? Do Daario and Jorah carry metal detectors? To be honest, I don't think it would be that much of an ass-pull. If they find Drogon's lair - which is totally possible assuming a) he hasn't gone too far afield and b) he has left a trail of burnt grass from killing the sheep/cattle - then they would spot the shit tonne of horse prints which seem to be circling a 2-3 meter diameter, go see what is in the circle, find the ring and bingo they know where to find Dany: Vaes Dothrak with the Dosh Khaleen

All season long , except for E9, Dany's token Dothraki have been around, thought at least one or two would have gone with Jorah and Darrio.

I know you're being facetious, but that kind of comment really isn't fair. Dothraki extras were cast, costumed, carefully placed in the backgrounds of a number of scenes this season. Hard working people worked hard to include Dothraki in Dany's entourage this season. It demeans the work of those people to imply that this stuff is just down to D&D "remembering" or "forgetting". The show runners don't "forget" about Dany's Dothraki or about Balon or about Rickon or Gendry or whatever. They try to determine each season if it is worth flying in / casting actors, costuming them, devoting makeup resources to them, writing things for them to do, including them in shoots, and doing all of the other stuff that goes into making a TV show. Yes, it would have been nice to see Tommen in season 3, it would have been nice to see some Dothraki around Dany in seasons 3-4, it would have been nice to check in on Gendry. But the show has finite resources. How much do you suppose it costs to have Tommen wander across the background of a scene? At least $10,000 between getting the actor to show up, costuming him, including him in the shoot? Costuming extras as Dothraki and including them in Dany scenes isn't free either. And the obvious reason that Balon hasn't died yet in the show is that Euron has him murdered and they were holding off on introducing Euron. Given how much content they had in this season, I don't see how they could have done Euron in addition. We could discuss whether the Greyjoys would have worked better than the Dornish this season, but these things aren't forgotten. This show cares about these things down to the details of Sansa's buttons and prostitute continuity. Sometimes bad trade-offs are made, sometimes scenes are mangled, sometimes the writing or acting is bad. But it is just infuriating when people talk as if the show is created at the whim of a couple of lazy drunks rather than a huge team of competent, hard working people.

I was a little bummed when I thought it was. Pretty cool that ring is the only piece of jewelry/clothing Dany has worn in every scene since the beginning.

Thousands of horses are definitely going to kick up the grass and dirt in that area where they were circling her and it makes it much more likely they will find the ring - good thinking! All they really need to find is Drogon's pile of burnt bones and the horse trails will do the rest. I'm much happier now about the scene because of your logical explanation haha!

This scene really disappointed me. The equivalent book chapter is so rich with character development, as Dany comes to terms with who she is. This was very disappointing by comparison
