So what do you think is going to happen to Dany now? The Khalasar was huge and scary circling around her - but look at what a show they made of it? Would they have done that for anyone else? How do they know who she is? Did they see her flying on Drogon and that's why they came?
This is all new territory for us from here on out and most of this will be speculating for next season obviously - but did the scene play out the way you'd hoped? Were there any things you weren't sure about or questions you had about the scene with Daenerys in the Dothraki Sea with Drogon?
Also, did you agree with the way they played it out for her team left behind in Meereen? I was actually surprised at how well Daario handled that and wasn't expecting that from him. I loved that they had Varys show up at the last minute to join the team and help Tyrion out. Great stuff!

I still think Dany goes back to VD to be named TStMtW, I just wasn't expecting the Dothraki to find her without Drogon. I would have loved a scene of them sharing a meal like the book. I guess he'll rest up a bit, and meet her there. That khalasar looked really impressive btw.
Started to fanboy out a little bit when Varys showed up. Dany's small council is getting pretty awesome!

Team Meereen was very good, I liked Daario there, so I can't wait to rewatch. He seemed like the only one who wasn't completely distressed by his feelings and the way he talked off Tyrion was brilliant. I'm looking forward to S6 Daario/Jorah scenes. They seem to built up to that since Daznak where they had this long intense stare.
I'd love to have more of Dany hallucinations and stuff, but I can understand that this would have dragged her story and internal monologue isn't easy to transfer on screen. I had the same feeling as Tyrion, I missed you Varys. It'll be interesting how much he knows what's going on in KL or in Dorne.

I too loved watching the 'crew' playing off one another. I particularly enjoyed Daario putting Tyrion down a bit. Not something I expected I would enjoy since I can't stand Daario but he did have a point and it was funny as hell. Tyrion, Missandei and Grey Worm will have Varys to help out so it's a great team for keeping home base under control (hopefully) until they can all get back together and GET OUTTA THERE! Also a funny moment was Dany trying to get back on Drogon's back to try and force him to leave and him shrugging her off. HAHA. He wasn't having none of that and now we see who is in control. I have to wonder if Drogon "let" Dany get captured by the Khalasar - he knows when she's in distress and saves her, he's done it several times now so I wonder if he's not afraid of the Khalasar hurting her? I can't imagine that many horses and riders yelling and galloping around under his cliff wouldn't wake him up ... c'mon!

I was a little surprised at how long the Meereen sequence was. Of course it wasn't really that long just placed against 61 minutes (I still puzzle over the episode time constraints) it seemed to be eating dramatic narrative needed elsewhere.

Yeah, the scene with Varys is the one that killed my hopes for the Lady showing up

I can't imagine that many horses and riders yelling and galloping around under his cliff wouldn't wake him up ... c'mon! Yeah o'l Drogon wanting to 'mountain potato' it was funny. They made no attempt to created the Grass Sea ... tho in season 1 that was shot in NI. The location here could be around Meereen since in the books I got the impression the Meereen area was surrounded by both arid and much less arid areas , areas where those was farming. The show has already set this up in season 4. My guess is that in S6 , to add some punch, the Dothraki won't try to physically harm Dany but take her into custody which will be broken up by Drogon. Then , like the end of Dance, what the hell happens , I don't know. I was expecting Dany to say at least on word of Dothraki , which would be and added jog to the khalasar as to who she was. Seems they are holding that till after the casting if a Khal, which will be interesting , don't know who likely actors might be.

This episode definitely looked more like my idea of the Dothraki Sea than season 1. That was a gorgeous shot too. Wonder how many actual horses and riders there were vs cgi?

As usual this was the show's '25 word' summary of Dany's last chapter in Dance. Interesting she was all 'grubbed' up as if she had spent at least a couple of weeks at Drogon's lair. I guess that water spring from the books was nearby as well as the charred horse meat.
What was the deal with the 'wraps' on her hands?

As for her appearance: she seems far away from Meereen and she would have to eat the leftovers of Drogon's meal to survive, hence her dress is grey because of ashes.

It was truly a breathtaking location and felt very remote and lost - perfect place for Drogon to be hiding out and to take Dany there for safe keeping. He just wants to sleep and heal up and she's hungry and wants to go 'home' but I think Drogon's a very smart dragon. She cannot go 'home' to Meereen, she must "go backwards to go forwards" ...remember that part of her prophecy? Back to where it all started - where the dragons were born and her Queen days began as a Kahleesi. I think the Khalasar is going to join her - but it's going to take something of great importance for them to do so. Thousands of them circling her was no coincidence. I believe the wraps were strips she cut from the bottom of her dress (since it used to be floor length before her flight) to use as bandages because I think she may have cut or chafed her hands raw holding onto Drogon's sharp spines all the way out there. Her dress and hair were a mess because they flew for a long time and I'm assuming a lot of ash and smoke from Drogon's fire singed her dress grey and dirty instead of white. I'm going to guess it's been a few days but not long. She's had no food and Drogon doesn't care, he's licking his wounds and trying to nap!

DO UR SHIT ALONE! Dany rough look was awesome, a great flashback to her Dothraki days, which will come back now.

Haha good guess on what Drogon was thinking as he chucked her off his back and onto the ground. I laughed! When she climbed up there, I said "Nah Drogon, don't put up with that shit, buck her off!" and then he did! I honestly wasn't expecting to get so much Drogon/Dany scenes in the finale - seriously ... that was the only pleasant surprise in the entire episode and it was wonderful. I'm savoring it and watching that part over again. They certainly did a fantastic job on giving Drogon real lifelike movements and personality, didn't they! I am in love!

It was really a nice moment in this gruesome episode. Yeah, Drogon is like a real life pet, they all have their own personalities and you love them endlessly for that, but they need education and instructions. Dany will need to master that in order to be prepared for any upcoming battles. And Drogon is the one that is closest to Dany. I don't want to know how ridden by furiousness and rage Rhaegal and Viserion are going to be when Dany comes back.
