Having Jon die would defeat the object of R+L, Melisandre and Hardhome all teasing his greatness. He'll come back. Saying in an interview immediately after the big shock "I can't tell if I'm back or not" means confirming the return to te eyes of the public. A straight and firm "For what they have told me, I'm dead and that's it" gets people talking.

So now I think I'm beginning to understand what the LSH camp has been going through. I'm reading the posts that say, No, Jon's not dead, of course they just had to say that and feeling so hopeful, but underneath there's a sharp, icy fear that maybe he's dead, after all. But then, why IS Melisandre back at the Wall? I hate her SO much, but (here's my deal with the devil), if she'll only bring Jon back . . .. If Jon is resurrected with the same magic as Catelyn was then I would hope that certain people would view it with the same exact disdain as they did with her. I will also be livid that they followed up on the red god's resurrection and still didn't include her.

I've always thought that Jon was dead in the books and would be brought back by Mel. I'm not surprised by the ending at all, i.e. Having Jon die. I think they decided not to do the Warg thing (this season) just to make the episode more depressing. Although, I have no doubt Jon will Warg Ghost. If I have to guess I'd say we'll see the world through Ghost eyes before seeing Jon "alive" back in his reborn body. Also, agree with Punce in wondering why the put Dany in such a vulnerable position. Of course it was to amp up the drama. This. It will take 5 seconds next season for Drogon to swoop down from that cliff bluff, stand there perched on his wings, for the entire dynamic to do a 180. I don't think so. He seems hurt so I think she'll be taken somewhere and swoop down later in a real dramatic fashion.

I'm not speculating at this point what anything means.
They just did a great job with that episode. Probably the best finale of the series so far. Can't wait for next season.

My mood when Lady Stoneheart didn't appear, @fireandblood There's always season 6, right? Just give it up people. It's not going to happen at this point.

Not like D&D always make sense but why would the Dothraki capture Dany instead of killing her right then and there. And Why would Drogon fly hundreds of miles to save his mom and do nothing when her safety is in danger when she's right below his cliff. Okay, D&D...

Started out hoping for a flash-cameo by Gendry or Rickon but about a third of the way I thought , OPPS! I see a blivit problem here. Turned out to be double Blivit problem!!

Yeah, I don't think the viewership will go down because they left this episode with so many cliffhangers. Many will be wondering what will happen in the Season 6 premiere, especially since there isn't a book to go off of. Then after the premiere, who knows.

I'm wondering if her colossal failure with Stannis isn't an indication of the end of her tricks. She seems only able to create shadow babies successfully so perhaps she won't be involved. 3E Raven and Bran are watching, too, so there's hope for another outcome. Or, maybe it's her. I was convinced Jon wouldn't really be dead but maybe he will be an undead in Book/Season 6. Either way, he's coming back. He always comes back.

Shouldn't they take her back to Vaes Dothrak to live with the Dosh Khaleen?

Btw the kiss from Ellaria was 100% confirmation she'll poison Myrcella. But man, all these cliffhangers. Mother of cliffhangers. I got the feeling that a sandsnake would poison Tommen, which still might happen. The show likes to move things around while ticking the box. I think Myrcella's wound is all she'll get in the books. For now! So, you think Myrcella will be OK? I got teary at the Father/Daughter scene. I've been ambivalent about her all along, mostly liking her, but tonight I decided I love her.

By the way, do I recall correctly and has Dany managed to do a costume change whilst riding on Drogon?!

I always thought that in the books when Dany went to Vaes Dothrak she'd be in a position of power, hence the bowing Dosh Kaleen. Also, I would find it hilarious if Daario and Jorah are all rescue mission and find Dany in full control.

The story changes completely if he's brought back as an undead and I didn't think that was a price for him to pay. I guess we'll find out in 10 months. Maybe sooner, if Martin writes quickly.
