Has anyone else seen this? I started watching it today, I am on episode 6.  The synopsis of the show, from Wikipedia: "Sense8 tells the story of eight strangers: Will, Riley, Capheus, Sun, Lito, Kala, Wolfgang and Nomi, each individual from a different culture and part of the world. While living their everyday lives they suddenly have a vision of the violent death of a woman called Angelica and find themselves reborn as Sensates; otherwise normal human beings who are mentally and emotionally connected, being able to communicate, sense, use each other's knowledge, language and skills." What I love is how the cast is so diverse in nationality and personality and none are there to be the 'token Asian girl' or 'token black guy'. I'd highly recommend it. |

I think some of the criticisms are with regards to the pacing - it takes about 3 episodes to finally get into them actually 'visiting' each other to help out, but after then it's all good.. The editing in regards to the ending of episodes could be better - for example in one episode, a character said a line as if the conversation may continue and it cut. Though the diverse cast and storylines really make up for any slight blips in editing/pacing. They also seem to be good at cliffhangers at the majority of the time, often enticing you to go to the next episode. Also, if you love Max Riemelt you will like a few of the episodes - he puts his body on display (all of it). Have fun with that! |

Having watched the series a few days ago, I have had time to mull over my thoughts on the series.
The initial two episodes are an introduction of sorts and thus are slow paced - however, the creators have stated they have a five year plan, so in the long run it will not matter much. The characters are well thought out and not just stereotypes, they beautifully encompass the cultures of all the Sensates, from India to Kenya to Iceland. Well-thought out dialogue with a great soundtrack. The individual storylines are compelling, and the overall storyline for the Cluster seems interesting. The interactions between the Sensates is well written and I hope the relationships continue to develop.
I would highly recommend this show to anyone who has an interest in Sci-Fi or thinks the concept is intriguing - but if you do watch it, please get to at least episode three before you make your decision as to continue watching or not, as that is when the story really starts. I hope it is renewed for further seasons. A well deserved 5/5, a fresh take in the Sci-Fi genre with clever writing and sound, thought out characters who are not token minorities.

I've only watched the first episode, but I actually really liked it. I see nothing wrong with the slow pacing. I also liked how the show potrayed the LGBT community.

Some critics are saying it's a down-side to the show, but the writers themselves have stated in interviews they have a 5 year plan, so in the long run it won't matter. Glad you're liking it, episode 3 is when it really gets good in my opinion.  |

Given that Catelyn is (for some strange reason) one of the most controversial characters in these books, I've noticed in other forums but also with my friends in real life, that most gay guys really seem to love Catelyn. I'm not sure what that's about ... xD |

Binged watched it over the weekend and I really enjoyed it.
I didn't think it had a slow start, I got hooked from the first episode. The acting was pretty solid, there were some inconsistencies here and there but nothing that would really bother me.
I'm really looking forward to season two.

OMFG. I'm only in episode 3 and this might be my favourite show already. The acting is awesome, and I love how there are many different scenarios playing at the same time (we are everywhere in the world with this) Just love it. Recommend to everyone. The German guy really is crazy hot. But I must say, even though she wasn't nude, that woman who tries to bang Lito on episode 2 is the hottest one so far. She has an amazing body. I must say the Iceland DJ is more my style, though Oh and there's the police officer, who likes to show up shirtless and is a pleasant view. |
