Finished Season 2 tonight. What an awesome season. Everyone has their own story yet there is still the bigger overarching plot keeping them all linked. Sun's story remained the most interesting for me, partly because I think Bae Doona is so good. But really I think everything was stronger this season. The fight with Lila's cluster was cool. And Puck, the sensate equivalent of an STD (  ) was hilarious. The wedding scene with Nomi was a bit cheesy but fuck it, I don't care. It still made me feel really happy inside, "he's never called me daughter before"  Lito/Hernando and Nomi/Amanita are such beautiful relationships. I'm glad they had a scene with Nomi and Amanita discussing how this impacts Amanita. It stops their relationship getting to that toxic "all about me" stage. I hope Lito tells Hernando and Dani the truth next season though, they deserve to know. Lito in a onesie walking through everyone's lives was hilarious yet brilliant. Meeting new sensate was really cool. There's a whole lot of them about there and I can't wait to see more. Poor Wolfgang  Inwonder if they'll try exchanging him for Jonas and Whispers |

The reaction to this cancellation has beee insane. Really think Netflix have made a mistake cancelling this. I know shoes get cancelled all the time but rarely do i see a reaction like this. Going to keep my fingers crossed that the response convinces Netflix to change their mind. Doesnt even need to be a full season, imo. Just enough time to wrap things up and give the ending this show deserves.

This is good. I can watch Sense 8 all the way through. It's been on my list of things to watch and I naively thought, oooh, we could binge watch later this summer and then Netflix cancelled it and I was like never mind. But now with a 2 hour finale (they should do the same for the Get Down too), I will watch!

I'm rewatching so I can experience season 1 and 2 together. Doona Bae is probably the most accomplished actress on the show and Sun is definitely my favourite character  ... followed quite closely by Riley. I connect with her vulnerability and battles with mental health issues. Oh I love this show so much. I'm glad we get some kind of closure, but I still wish it could have had its full 5 season run. Massively expensive sure, but it was such an ambitious and different show, not really like anything else on TV. It's a shame to see originality given the axe |
