Loved this episode soooooooo much!
Parts that were meh:
Jon's scenes and Dorne Mace
Parts I loved:
Arya's scenes. Which shocked me as I am normally not a fan of hers and hated Braavos storyline. Loved the Shireen scene. It was heartbreaking and shocking. loved Selyse in it. Daznak was amazing! Obviously there are a few things I wish were different but I will discuss it in a Daznak thread.

I'm surprised by the great critical reaction for this episode. Everyone, except Forbes, seems to have loved it. From the recap, I had expected this to get as heavily criticised as UUU.

This time, luckily, specific-sector-of-the-fandom outrage didn't align itself with the reaction of the social-justice-through-social-media crowd. The latter crowd is likely saving their anger for the Walk of Shame.

While we liked the first 5 episodes a lot, a lot of people in the general public found them to be slow. A controversial episode 6 was fuelled by that general air of negativity. This time, though, The Dance of Dragons and Hardhome (judging from the GoT facebook page comments and from the critical reactions) are two of the most unanimously liked episodes that the show has done. I don't think many are going to jump on that bandwagon anymore, simply because they are back to feeling positive about the show.

Shireen burning was always going to be a horrifying moment, i cried actual tears and because of the fabulous kerri ingram the scene was everything it should have been, and it was well done. However I don't think the setting was right, its just too weak of Stannis to give in like that after the supplies have burnt. They have horses to eat still right?? And would've rather it happen as its going to in the books, with Mel and Selyse at CB. Sending Davos away like that was a piss-poor excuse and Davos is smarter than that i was half hoping he would abduct Shireen. I don't think he thought Stannis would actually do it (neither did we Davos, neither did we). I wasn't surprised to see Selyse defend Shireen in the end. She always loved her daughter despite her words, her actions spoke louder. In season 4 she was told by Melisandre the lord of light would have need of Shireen. In season 5 we hear Shireen saying her mother didn't want her to come. Not many people picked up on this but I did, because Tara is a fantastic subtle actor.
The Arya in Braavos stuff was...okay and quite well acted and set up and definitely suspenseful to my unsullied. i wasn't very impressed with Arya though. Even Meryn fucking Trant knew she was following them and recognised her from the harbour. She also could have easily poisoned the thin man and then followed Meryn. Pretty sure Arya is going to be picked to be Meryn's next victim. and she'll kill him. Jaquen knows she is lying but since she didn't actually act on killing Meryn yet he doesn't tell her off and is probably just seeing what she'll do. I really hope her punishment is going blind. LOL at Tycho Nestoris looking at disbelief at the stupidity of Mace Tyrell.
Dorne. Not even worth the rant but it was pretty weak. I just hope they have another scene because that was the most anticlimactic bunch of scenes ever.
Daznak was pretty good. But god darn it why did they have to do that right after the Shireen burning. Could literally hear her screams echoing in my head and they were already moving on. Disgusting really. Anyway my main concern with Daznaks is just that it didn't live up to my hopes the way Hardhome did. The fighting in the pits was slow and then the harpies just attack...why? it makes no sense unless their objective is to kill Dany in which that could've been achieved without slaughtering the citizens of Mereen in the stands! This means the Harpy is who? is it No one in particular or is it really the green whore? If its that green prostitute totally called it LOL the writing is getting predictable, not really impressed they just offed Hizdahr. I'll have to watch the scene again but when Drogon came in i was cheering but by the time Dany flew off on him i was just a little let down? i can't quite explain why maybe my expectations were high after Hardhome. I thought Drogon would do more damage, i thought emilia would get her dress ripped, be more physical and badass. The one good thing about Drogon flying off with Dany is it finally shut Daario up.

I finally made my Top 3 list of Sand Snakes 1. Nym (She's the only one I truly like and the only one, who seems to intelligent at all) 2. Obara (Girl, stop putting your name ahead everything you say and I'd probably like you) 3. Tyene (I've never been so annoyed by a certain character. I used to loathe Lancel and Pycelle, but she's in the top spot now)

I've seen several people say they thought she had called Drogon somehow, I took that scene as she was preparing to die. She took Missandei's hand and closed her eyes, to me she thought it was over. IIRC this is confirmed in the "Inside the Episode" for 509. In the books GRRM kind 'shadows' this without ever being explicit. It's still hazy here, but does seem Dany is able to call on Drogon's powers of teleportation to get to the scene! (In the book Drogon shows up (seems to) ... cause there is grub on the 'table' and Dany just happens to be there.)

So Viserion and Rhaegal next week? Do you think we'll see Dany flying next week too or will it pick up after she's landed? Curious about that myself, could be saving that for next season.

So, do you think that it might be some kind of foreshadowing that the man Daario was rooting for in the first match (because he was like him) got his head chopped off. Because I personally wouldn't mind that, at all.

It annoyed me. Then on re-watch, I got to wondering if the way Tyrion looked over at Daario when he said no way is the big man winning did I start to wonder if maybe that wasn't some sort of clue. Possible foreshadowing I suppose. Remember, Tyrion has heard from Varys: “Ofttimes a very small man can cast a very large shadow..."Perhaps Our Giant of Lannister is the one to place a bet upon.

Or at least have him killed for being a giant douchebag. I would take anything at this moment to be rid of him, more so in the books than in the show.

I like show Daario more than book Daario but that seriously was not a very difficult expectation to beat in the first place. I have been only mildly annoyed with him on the show, but that penis waggling routine as the first match started was obnoxious and he needs a bitch slap from Tyrion. I'm looking forward to hearing the 'menfolk' talking things out next week with their Queen MIA. Hah! Also, I hope Missandei gets a moment to thank Tyrion for saving her life because that was some awesome stuff in that scene!

I just realized, Jorah has greyscale and he touched Dany's hand. And then Dany touched Daario and Missandei. I wonder if they're doing something with this ...

I guessed that too, but wouldn't the whole Team Meereen catching greyscale be at bit too much? Supposedly it's transfered through infected skin, not healthy one.
