There is no Val in the show, but I agree that she was likable in her short amount of time. I'm sad to see how things turned out, but we'll definitely see more of her.

Who fumbled the dragon glass but some blades were doled out? It didn't seem to get used.

Speculative question: if Valyrian Steel can kill a WW, can dragon fire do the same? I mean, you can't make Valyrian Steel without dragonfire.

There's gotta be a reason they were born other then being cool lol. Maybe I'm crazy but I thought it was confirmed already that valyrian steel kills WW? In the books somewhere?

That Tyrion and Dany conversation could be the way it happens in Winds but even in Winds that seems a long way off. Too way off. I did did enjoy their scene together very much. I wasn't sure if Tyrion was going to go all clever and try to talk down/outwit Dany. He was clever but respectful. He had good insight for her, I think if they do indeed stick together they'll make a good team. Tyrion was the strongest when he was Hand, and I think with Dany he'll top that - by a lot. I think those two are really going to come into their own, and that each will help the other do that. I'm really excited about what's to come with that. ETA: I just now mosey'd over to the other fan board just to see what was going on there. I'm so, so glad I'm here.

Not confirmed, but hinted at. They talk about 'dragon steel' and Jon and Sam guess it means Valyrian steel. But that's it. Wonder what this confirmation of the Night's King will do for about 75% of the conspiracy theorists out there?

Thought it was interesting that even the Wildlings mentioned Ice Spiders, was that a planted seed?

Who's going to stop this army of WW? Well Karl Tanner is dead. All hope rests on the shoulders of Ramsay Bolton and twenty men...

Yes it's straight from the books that only Valyrian steel (or dragonglass) can kill the Others. In fact it's Sam Tarly who found out via all those books. They should have had him tell Stannis that when he visited the library. Here's a great reddit post with all the houses that currently own Valyrian steel (spell forged steel): www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/21t93e/Edit: While it was not stated in the book as Valyrian steel, dragonsteel was known to have come from Valyria so it wasn't difficult to connect the dots there for book readers.

So, that Wiling Chieftest wasn't Val after all. Too bad she ended up a Wight, I liked her character. Yeah, I wish should would have made it. But as soon as she told her daughters she would be right behind them, I knew she was a goner.

I am dying for the Inside the Episode to be posted.

Dragonglass and Valyrian Steel are two different things. Dragonglass is obsidian.
