Sorry, dont know if this has been said, but the series begins (Im certain) in 298al, seventeen years since RR, and the current year in show as reference by the wiki is 301al. So 3 years have passed. A lot of people on the show say the war lasted years. Stannis tells mel "I trusted in your visions and your prophecies for years" Sam says to Olly (fuck him) about Jon "I've been worrying about him for years" There's a larger timespan than the books, but it also makes a more sense since they need some way to explain how the actors, especially the younger ones, are aging so much. GoT wiki isn't actually officially affiliated with the show so their surmises aren't canon. But yeah, the show confirmed this year it's been three years, you're right. Yeah, but I'm pretty sure they use refrences from the official materials and VG. I would do it myself, but Im awful at doing that kind of thing lol... but three years seems about right. Weirdly enough, no one in the show ever really mentioned that there was a new centuary or anything. It just seemed that some people made a big deal about it and Joffs wedding being around that time in the books, but I dunno, maybe it was mentioned and I dont remember.

I don't think the Viewer's Guide has ever made clear how much time has passed and I know that the guy who runs the GoT wiki (I bitch about him a ton in the "Fanbase" thread btw) has overestimated how much time has passed each season in the past and has made many silly surmises before that have nothing to do with the official materials, though maybe they've updated it after the most recent mentions of "twenty years" having passed. I'm not sure.

I'm not sure. Fair enough. I only say it because of the lack of time scaling for the show, it all falls back to fan estimates and whatnot. Damn, and here was I thinking that everything on the internet was true

I'm not sure. Yeah, I remember an entry in Tommen's page trying to argue that he was possibly 18 at the time of season 5
