So, I we to over to Westeros.org to give my costumery 10 vote in their pool (the fuck with the voting) and there are people who've actually rated the episode at 1. WTF. You hate the show, go knock yourself out but that was an excellent episode. There is no reason to give it a 1. They are giving it a 1 just to boycott the show, they probably don't even watch the episode. |

Amazing, just amazing. It ended 30 minutes ago and I'm still stunned. I'll never be able to get to sleep tonight. It was so jam-packed with wonderful, wonderful stuff - not a wasted second! It'll take me hours, days to process it all. It's as if a tornado just roared through.

Best episode of the series! It absolutely delivered for me I'm shaking right now! I agree, without a doubt. Somebody posted about how great all of the Tyrion/Dany dialogue was and that they thought Martin had really missed the boat by not putting that into ADWD. Made me wonder, seriously, if Martin isn't experiencing a bit of self-doubt long about now. |

Sadly, Westeros.org is now a complete lose - wasteland of bottom dwellers who only want to piss and moan and rage about rape. This episode didn't have any rape so they're mad. It used to be a great place but now it's infested with roaches and I for one am glad to stop posting there. The community has just gone to shit.  edit: just got home late so I'm about to fire it up and am so excited to see everyone's excitement and FAT TENS across the board. Woohoo! |

I am stunned. I knew the sequence was going to be something but that was unbelievable. I really like how they gave you plenty of screen time with the chieftaness just so they could have her murdered horribly by creepy wight kids. I wonder if they'll have her come back whenever we see the army of the dead again.
It's going to be overshadowed (understandably) but the Tyrion/Dany conversation was top shelf.

I could probably be considered a 'show apologist' but I just voted a 10/10 for the first time, and I don't even like voting in these polls because I don't think it's practical to grade an episode(or movie) on a number scale that is affected by so many factors that can change depending on your state of mind while watching. Having said all that, I shed a single tear and crapped my pants over this episode. Well done.

Yeah, the Dany-Tyrion scene was fantastic. As I predicted, already helping each other. Tyrion is disabusing Dany of some of her naive notions, and Dany is helping him get his shit together, like when she stopped him drinking.

Wow. that Hardhome sequence was phenomenal.
Sophie and Alfie killed it again in their scenes.
I gave it a 9 because it did start off a bit slow and I'm salty that Jorah got sent away again. lol
Also I was kind of hoping for a Selmy mention somewhere.
But still. Amazing episode.
