Brienne, think I see where that's going, but with 3 eps left I don't know how to elaborate. Are all the rest of the episodes like 60 min. ? Where do you see that going?
I felt for Reek/Theon when he climbed those stairs and there was Ramsay waiting for him. It followed very naturally, I think, that of course he confessed all to Ramsay--cripes, so would I, right after I peed myself and passed out in terror. I think that set-up was so well done, because now when Theon actually does step forward to help, the stakes have been raised even higher, the terror level ratcheted up exponentially. Nicely done.
Theon went straight to Ramsay and it was filmed ambiguously on purpose, I believe.

I was holding my breath as Reek walked up those steps, and when he saw Ramsay I kind of wanted to cry. lol

Anyone else notice Sansa snatching the little weapon so that she can presumably shiv Myranda when she escapes?

So who lights the candle? The candle plot has been exposed, nobody is lighting the candle. Brienne will have to act on her own.

I hope we get Theon's come to Jesus at the weirwood scene. I think we need it or the show equivalent of it. He's not where he needs to be in order to run with Sansa. That poor lady and Sansa face, so sad. I know. And when Reek opened the door at the top of the tower and found Ramsay, a little part of me died, too. I was really counting on that candle. It showed Brienne watching the broken tower - isn't that what it was? And wasn't there a bit of light showing within? Ramsay's, perhaps, since he set up shop in there. I couldn't tell. Maybe it was just wishful, magical thinking on my part. Edit: I didn't understand that sequence on first watch. Yikes. Brienne isn't a very patient person; maybe she'll just go for it? Or maybe they'll do Pod the Bard.

Alliser couldn't wait to get that burn in on Sam. Probably could've waited until an hour or two. He's really got a stick up his ass. His mother named him Aliser, and he's celibate. Between the bullying and the build up, he's lost the capacity for empathy.

I really liked the LF / Olenna conversation in the broken brothel. Littlefinger was mourning the destruction of his property, but he doesn’t care that much about the brothel. Olenna was staring down the potential destruction of her family, the only thing she cares about.
I thought the sand snake scene worked well, for what it was. Got a sense of their personalities. Should we still be worried about Bronn’s survival?
I can’t see Stannis deciding to sacrifice Shireen. I think Stannis will tell Davos to get Shireen out of there. Still hoping that Yara intersects that plot somehow.
Sam can’t just decide to send himself for maester training, can he? Unless he breaks his vows and runs for it. So maybe Jon sends Sam in 5x10, along with Davos, Gilly, and Shireen? That seems overly optimistic, but something good has to happen at some point.
I didn’t know what to make of the big guy that freed Tyrion. Was he a nod to Belwas?

The vibe I got from the Stannis-Mel scene was one of contempt. It seemed to open up the possibility of her returning to Castle Black if he won't listen to her and then... I'm going to spitball again (all my predications involving Dragonstone crew's storyline has been 0 for 100 but what the hell). It could set up either Stannis sending her away or (more likely) Mel leaving Stannis to go back to the Wall. She told him in episode 4 he didn't need her so much as he needed faith. And not sacrificing Shireen will definitely show a lack of faith. Very different from the books, but logical in showland.

Alliser kinda killed that moment, but the CGI of Aemon on top of the funeral pyre was... awful. It looked like a 2D image pasted into a 3D scene. They should have just gone with a side profile of his face and a body double.
And yeah, Theon just went straight to Ramsay.

The cell scene was rather pointless. Not terrible, but annoying. I hope they explore Nym more, I like Jessica Henwick, and just hope she is more interesting than her grumpy warrior sister und the lolita one. Phew, that was rather negative, but I loved eveything else. Theon/Sansa scene: amazing, made me so excited for Theon's confession. Aemon's death was so deeply moving, I cried the whole scene. Mel, get your f***ing hands off Shireen! Defintely gonna rewatch it tomorrow to catch all the details again.

I've thought for quite some time that her appearance this season will be a quick one (probably in the finale, probably indoors and probably set in Pyke) that deals with Balon's death and sets up whatever she's going to be doing in S6. Nothing that's happened this season so far has dissuaded me from this notion.

I don't know about you all (no one's really mentioned it so far) but seeing Sansa that way was about 20 times more heartbreaking for me than last week's rape scene. Seriously. It's one thing to have it happening off-screen and in the last 5 minutes but it's entirely another to see her laying there bruised and battered, still in her wedding dress or what looks like whatever's left of the petticoats underneath ... my god has anyone even helped her bathe in days?? I'm just devastated really. Maybe it hit me harder than some. I know she's not entirely broken - she still has fight left in her even if challenging Ramsay's legitimacy and calling him a bastard to his face was probably the worst thing she could possibly ever do. My god my heart sank right then and I whispered "Ohhh Sansa, no no no..." As for the rest of the episode - absolutely stellar. Every scene had me on the edge of my seat either crying or cheering! I said in the poll thread, even the sandsnakes and their corny contrived antidote scene didn't phase me, it's almost like the comedy relief of the show now! Also, Bronn, please SING to me every single day. I am in love.

I will say that the sexytime moves were all Stannis with Mel giving him the rebuff though. Eventually he does tell her to take a walk though when she tries to subtly slip in the Shireen proposal.

Sophie and Alfie were stellar. The 'you are Theon Greyjoy' line hit me so hard, because after all those horrible nights Sansa still has some strength left. We also saw that in the scene where she caught that little weapon (don't know how to call it in English) You go girl!
