I've completely lost track of what happened when and who is who. I'll probably need to rewatch a fair bit. Zoe's death was a huge shock, but I was more invested in Peter and to see his rise and fall all as part of Frank's master plan was both devastating and brilliant. Seasons 3 and 4 ... Eh, what happened then? Season 3 was the Russians I believe, and Frank and Claire drifting apart (which continues some way into season 4). Also deals with Doug recovering after Rachel escaped him, his return to work, his creepy stalking and eventual murder of Rachel. Season 4 dealt with tensions between Frank and Claire, Claire carving out her own power, and the eventual unification of the two, with Frank running as the Democratic candidate for POTUS, and Claire as his VP. (And of course the whole primary thing to get to that point). Obviously that's just the main points. Oh and I completely agree with you about Peter. That is why Season 1 beats season 4 for me. Such a brilliantly written plot The Russians! How could I forget Lars Mikkelsen as totally-not-Vladimir-Putin. I remember really liking the misdirection when they branded season 4 as Frank vs Claire but turn the tables on us completely. But their relationship with the writer guy was just a bit too weird for me. Doug and Rachel is where I get a bit lost. He sends her into hiding in season 2, she gets too close to people and he tries to move her again but she cripples him and runs away. Then season 3 he's a wreck who gets prostitutes to squirt alcohol into his mouth? He finds the hacker guy and then kills Rachel. Is that right? And I've no idea where Doug was in season 4. And just to get this straight, the former editor, the former president, Jackie and Remy all try to work against Frank in season 4? Is that how it went? Yep, a rewatch is absolutely necessary at this point.

im gonna share with you guys my totally unrealistic-not-at-all-possible end game theory about house of cards.
Frank and Claire win, Frank as POTUS and Claire as VPOTUS. At some point, Frank will die (Claire may be involved) and Claire will assume the presidency for herself.

Yep, a rewatch is absolutely necessary at this point. That's about it. I haven't watched season 2 in a while but I seem to recall Rachel is sent into hiding because she could connect Frank with Peter's death. The implication, I think, was that Doug was 'merciful' by not killing her at the start. He developed acreally weird relationship with her where he seemed to love her, but then he also seemed to see her as a surrogate mother, having her read to him etc. He tries to move her because she is getting too close to other people, when really he wants her to be a recluse because otherwise she might talk. He got especially pissed when he found out she slept with another woman. And then yep, I think she makes him crash the car then cracks him on the head with a rock or something. Season 4 he had a rivalry with that new guy but mostly he was forgettable. A shame give how good his plot was in s1-3. Yeah there are a few try and work against Frank in S4, including Heather Dunbar as rival Democratic candidate (who eventually gets thwarted by tenuous links to Lucas, who tries to kill Frank)

Rewatching the first season makes me miss Rachel and Catherine Oops I meant Christina. That's awkward. Clearly I don't miss her as much as I thought

4 hours. Get hyped. I haven't slept yet, and I don't think I'm going to - it's like watching Netflix shows the minute they come out in a 13 hour binge.

I woke up early this morning (not purposely) and was pissed to see it hadn't dropped yet. Rage. Obviously it's out now though. Watched the first two episodes, good so far. Frank is a monster. edit: ooof, on edge after episode three. Going to try and hold off from watching next episode until tomorrow but I doubt I'll do it.

I'm on episode 9 now, fell asleep trying to stay up earlier. I'm liking the season. Episode 7 is probably the best so far, in my opinion.
I really like the actress who plays Madison in Fear The Walking Dead, so glad to see her appear here.

Chapter 62 spoiler (quite big) Holy fuck, President Walker's testimony against Frank Chapter 63 mild spoiler Holy fuck Claire breaking the 4th wall. Nice! I think the season is going to end with her becoming President. Chapter 64 Spoiler (big) Holy fuck. Frank pushing Cathy down the stairs. I like old Frank being back, but I love Cathy. HOLY FUCK Doug was the leak. I thought it was maybe him, but shocked they went with it. HOLY FUCK - Claire killing Tom... I was talking to my friend and he thought that this would happen, Tom becoming Claire's Zoe. Holy fuck. FRANK RESIGNING WHAT THE FUCK - watch him come back as VP to Claire's Presidency Chapter 64 is the best episode of the season by far.

Chapter 65 (big) WHAT THE FUCK. Frank has planned everything. Holy fuck. He was the leak what the AFUCK. I hate Doug, so glad to see he is going to take the wrap for everything - he is probably not going to be brought to justice for Rachel, unless he confesses, so justice for Zoe is the closest I guess. I thought Frank had lung cancer, there was hints about it from season 1 from the stopping smoking, some hospital charts and coughing and such - but it's something wrong with his liver, interesting. I was just warming to LeAnne - sad to see her killed off Fuuuuck Claire didn't pardon Frank. He's not going to be a happy bunny. I'm loving Claire's 4th Wall breaks. I just wish she would have knocked on the table at the end like Frank did at the end of season 2.

Spoilers for everything Walker just casually laying back while he's incriminating the president. Somebody should've given him a mic to drop. I was kinda disappointed that Frank was behind the leak. I'm a bit annoyed that everything always seems to go his way. Hopefully Claire not pardoning him is a sign of things going wrong for him in the future. They really upped the Shakespearean aspect when Frank started getting paranoid about everyone around him. I can't wait for his fall from grace. Cathy LeAnn Hopefully LeAnn's death is the catalyst for Doug turning on Frank. I never cared much for Tom so I'm glad he's gone at least Maybe we'll see some of the people that Claire has manipulated now that she's president - like Gillian or Trisha.
