I watched the show around January before the release of the third season and binged the new season on the day it was released. It's phenomenal both in acting and writing. I really love the anti-hero aspect of it, the same way I loved it in Breaking Bad. I would recommend it to anyone, even if you don't have a lot of interest in politics, it's more about the character dynamics within a political setting. The show, however, requires you to actually watch it - you can't just have it on in the background. I found myself rewinding because I missed 30 seconds and had no idea what was going on. Season two spoiler I, sadly, was spoiled for Zoe's death and it really took away the shock and turmoil of the event.. I really miss her. |

omngosh i've just finished season 1 of this show and i love it so far! i need to catch up so we can discuss but it will take me ages now so much work to do... Just saw this, apologies for the late reply! You will love season 2 and 3, they are so good! geezus season 2 episode 1 was really shocking ! when he pushed zoe onto the oncoming train  [\spoiler] overall season 2 was just as good as the first one. i can't believe Frank became president!! holy shit balls that was amazing maneuvering by both frank and claire. i'm glad the president caught onto it in the last couple of eps because it was ridiculous how obvious frank was being. playing a dangerous game there. [\spoiler]
I'm now going to watch season 3 will keep updating lol |

I'm now going to watch season 3 will keep updating lol HEY i just recently watched season 3. Loved it. The russian president and frank plus claire growing into her own were fantastic. but i've missed episodes so need to re-watch. |

Zadeth I'm about half way through season 4. Gotta say I'm loving this season. I think its brilliant. I wasn't sure how long they were going to be able to last after he became president but they are doing well.

Hmm, very late premiere this year. Interesting.
I enjoyed Season 4 more than Season 3, which I had thought a marked decrease in quality. At present I would rank the seasons:
2>1>4>>>>>3 with 1 and 4 being pretty close in terms of quality, Zoe's death will always be the real shocker for me. And I liked the skeletons From Frank's past visiting him while he was recovering.
I still miss Rachel. The whole fucked up dynamic between her and Doug was one of the highlights of this show for me. I feel like Doug is a much lesser character after he killed her

Eh, what happened then? Season 3 was the Russians I believe, and Frank and Claire drifting apart (which continues some way into season 4). Also deals with Doug recovering after Rachel escaped him, his return to work, his creepy stalking and eventual murder of Rachel. Season 4 dealt with tensions between Frank and Claire, Claire carving out her own power, and the eventual unification of the two, with Frank running as the Democratic candidate for POTUS, and Claire as his VP. (And of course the whole primary thing to get to that point). Obviously that's just the main points. Oh and I completely agree with you about Peter. That is why Season 1 beats season 4 for me. Such a brilliantly written plot |
