Spoilers under the highlight...
If I had to make one complaint about Stannis in season 5 it'd that the Others don't seem to be on his radar. Like, at all. Not even mentioned let alone planned for. Hopefully episode 5 has some Stannis-Jon discussions about preparing the Wall but so far Stannis hasn't involved himself at all.
The Shireen scene was nice.

Thinking about the Brienne/Stannis thing now...maybe Stannis/his army kill Brienne instead? It'll somewhat parallel Robb & Cat walking around saying they'll kill the Lannisters and well we know how that goes.
I'm only saying this because I don't think she and Jaime will both survive LSH in TWOW. Jaime is probably safe. If Brienne dies by LSH in the book they can't do that on the show so...Stannis?
I'm grasping at straws here. I don't want either of them to die.

I haven't seen the leaked episodes, want to watch them as they come out, but all the talk is how much face time Stannis has, how great his scenes are, etc etc. To me, that's sooooo suspicious. I feel sure they're building him up just to make his death that much more painful for all of us. I hope that's not true, but I really feel it is. Crap.  |

I wouldn't read too much into the increased screen time. It pretty well parallels ADWD/ASOS in that regard. I don't understand why so many are jumping immediately to Brienne will succeed in killing Stannis this season. Yes there is a good chance (with that foreshadowing) she's going to set the camps on fire. It doesn't mean that she'll succeed in her goal of killing him. |

I've long said when Stannis (and other Team DS people die) Ramsay can take the throne had have White Walkers for his Kingsguard for all I care. That said I still think Stannis is a goner in season 6, not this one.  |

He seems to give up on the wildlings after Mance burns and tells Jon that they're his to do with as he wishes. There's also no diplomacy with the northern leaders other than the 1/2 minutes it spent on the Mormont letter.
If northmen don't join him on the march then the only northmen involved will be Roose and Ramsay, heh. |

Just counted: Stannis has about 18min of screentime in the first four episodes. That's almost as much as season 2, when he had 20min. I believe he will get at least half an hour of screentime this season, maybe even 40.

He's in 1-4 already so that leaves only 3 eps of the last 6. If it's true that is. |
