I don't know why you torture yourself by reading that kind of garbage.

I don't know why you torture yourself by reading that kind of garbage. Please don't call the theories of someone who is another member of this board garbage. I have told you to act civilized time and time again.

I don't know why you torture yourself by reading that kind of garbage. After the Brienne/Jaime/Roose dinner scene, I can't see Roose doing this. He already refused to let Brienne leave Harrenhal once, and yet she got away. Hypothetically, if Roose does contemplate this, he has to know he has about a 1% chance that Brienne won't flip sides again. Roose is completely aware that she swore this oath to Cat like... two years ago, and Cat has been dead a long time. If Brienne is still following this oath, he can be pretty sure that she's not going to betray it just because she swears something to Roose. If Brienne kills Stannis, Sansa will lose her only hope of leaving the Bolton's clutches. No, I can't imagine Roose seeing it this way. Brienne would either have seen Winterfell's defensive works, including his troop placements and new things he has added since the castle was burned - or - she'd have seen an entrance to the secret passage ways. It's way too risky. Also there's the established notion that Roose is not one to take gambling risks: "I had Tywin Lannisters backing. Who backs me now, you?"

I really hope so because this would basically be giving some of Stoneheart's role to Roose and that's just -

I imagine she'll just wait outside the walls of WF while Pod infiltrates. I don't think there'll be time for anything more elaborate than that to go down.

Ugh, you read the IMDB discussions? Slumming it I see! (that's a joke) Ok I'll take the bait ... He/She said: "The temptation for Brienne will be great since she has wanted Stannis' death all along, but it would be a death in the name of Roose Bolton, therefore a mockery of her oath to Catelyn (and a mockery of her love for Renly)."No. This is too weak to be plausible. The temptation would not even exist. Brienne is more bull-headed than a Baratheon or Stark and her "honor" runs too deep. If she has to pick between one of her two oaths to keep, it will be to Catelyn and her living daughter, not to kill Stannis. Just my opinion but seems a far stronger bet to place.

Well, I've been a member there for 9 years. Many of the discussions there are far more relevant and imaginative than on fansites, especially nowadays, but I usually post on movie boards

You can find some good discussion on IMDB when it comes to obscure titles, but something mega popular like Game of Thrones is overrun by trolls and off-topic posts. I'm amazed that you found a serious, relevant topic in the GoT forums. Have the mods there started to do a better job of cleaning things up?

No the mods are still useless, but there are several insightful posters there I usually just participate in Stephen is hot threads
