Is King's Landing even in this episode or just the finale?

Yeah, I was also under the impression that we won't see KL in 5x09. I mean, we'll have Stannis's camp, Braavos, Dorne, The Wall and Meereen for sure with Meereen probably taking a huge chunk of the episode. The episode is also a bit shorter than the others. I guess there is no time for King's Landing.

So the Cersei/High Sparrow pic is from 510? I assumed we'd be getting a small scene where he explains what'll happen in the walk

Yeah, we're so used to the Walk of Shame that we don't even see it as shocking anymore but, believe me folks, it'll be very fucking shocking for the Unsullied. And IT WILL spark the usual back and forth about whether or not it's appropriate to dramatize such things. I suspect this is true - the Walk will be very shocking for every viewer out there who never thought they'd see Cersei Lannister brought that low (who hasn't read the books). We book readers are pretty jaded but I remember being SO freaked out at this stage in the books because everything was going nuts for every single character and I kept slamming my book shut...pacing around, shouting and raving. My (now ex) husband was behind me in reading and it was all I could do to keep from spoiling it. My freakouts spurned him into reading faster, I do remember that, LOL.

This episode is only 53 minutes so like others said there probably won't be room.

The Cersei-High Sparrow pic scanned is from the EW article. It's not an ep. 509 promo pic.

Yeah, I think this could be where she confesses to only sleeping with Lancel and then the High Sparrow will explain the Walk. That sounds about right. I imagine she'll meet with Kevan, he'll bring up the option of a trial by combat and say that Qyburn claims to have found a suitable champion which could motivate Cersei to compromise and give her selective confession to the HS.
But I guess this stuff is all more for an ep. 510 sortof thread...So...How about them dancing dragons, folks?

BTW just had a thought, maybe the double-meaning in the title that our own bogden alluded to in the comment section back on WOTW has to do with the currency "dragons" rather than any other literal or metaphorical dragon in the story? We know that Mace meets with the IBOB in this episode after all, so I wouldn't count that out as a possibility, underwhelming as it may sound.

I had a similar thought this morning, which made me really hope that we actually get to see a scene with Mace and Tycho, rather than simply Tycho meeting them at the docks and then going straight to the Arya-Trant business. I would love to see Roger Ashton-Griffiths play off someone new and show a potential new side to Mace to show that his buffoonery with the small council is only an act to throw Cersei. I think he would do a fantastic job with some material like that.

I think he would do a fantastic job with some material like that. I don't think his buffoonery is an act but I do think we'll see a different side of Mace, particularly if Tycho tells him of all the chaos that's been going in the capital in his absence and of his son and daughter's arrest. I imagine he didn't hear anything of the sort whilst sailing over and that if word was sent that Ser Meryn made sure he didn't catch wind of it. This will change with Meryn out of the way.
Mace Tyrell's Braavos outfit is AWESOME btw.
Here are two articles from WOTW back in the autumn with pics from the two shoots for this scene.

Well, not so much an act, but more exaggerated than he truly is. And yes, his outfit is fantasic. Was the season he said to watch out for belt buckles or was that last year? I especially love the look with the sunglasses in this photo:

BTW just a puny note here, this fellow who was an extra last year too in ep. 410 and was in 508 as the same background wildling elder says he'll be in 509 too. /photo/1 I know about him specifically because he commented a few times on the old wicnet (when it was a still a good site, ie. pre-Fansided before WOTW was formed)and posted some decent behind-the-scenes photos.

oooo so Brienne is going to do something....and sansa's relationship takes a new turn...
Maybe Sansa starts playing Ramsay And Brienne hatches a plan to sneak into winterfell with Pod and they ambush Theon and he helps Sansa escape.
Still waiting for the confession scene. Alfie said he had a 'tree' scene so im still hopeful its the confession scene.

Actually I wouldn't get too excited about the potential meanings because it's nothing especially momentous. Unless there are more meanings that I don't know about lol
