Fair enough. A Ser Robert Strong sighting in episode 10 would definitely get the hype train moving again. You're lucky at least you will definitely get this, whereas I get fuck all again I'm seriously hoping they throw you a bone with LSH. OMG. YES!

At this rate I'm expecting them to either not have her at all - which will piss me off - or have the scene end before they actually show her - which will physically fucking kill me. I mean it. They have epilogue, they show her in the hood and the end credits come in. Brains all over walls.

@sati, I'm in the same kind of abusive relationship with this tv show as you are and I've been for years now. This would be kind of hilarious if it weren't so sad and frustrating.

I think Ramsay might die. He needs to live, capture Melisandre and flay her to death This is probably the first time I've ever actually wanted Ramsay to do something terrible to someone. Seriously, he can have her.

Nah, Mel's a sweetie. She'll outlive almost everyone converging on WF this Sunday.

I don't think Stannis lovers should automatically hate him if he kills his daughter to try to save the world. Think about it. Who else killed their child to save the world according to one of the world's most followed religions? Well, it's a massive price to pay for something that you don't know if it works. I will try and support Stannis but it might be hard. Him showing regret and killing Mel would be a start. I feel so stupid, I don't know the answer to that question and I have studied religion and history.. I came back here just to post about Agamemnon and his daughter Iphigenia. I knew there was a more relevant allusion to a king burning his daughter for good fortune in war but couldn't remember it, then I saw someone in a Youtube video mention the Greek story. I wanted to add it this discussion but while searching for this thread, I saw that konradsmith already brought it up... "Jun 10, 2015 1:29:55 GMT -5 konradsmith said: To bring up the particular Classical allusion that the scene referred to, basically all of Greece followed Agamemnon all through the Trojan War (so for ten years) after he sacrificed his daughter for religious reasons... That's really more of a literary example than a historical one, of course, but it's clearly what GrrM and D and D were going for with this." That doesn't let Stannis off the hook morally for me, or for most viewers, of course, but it does put his story in a literary context.

At least we have something to look forward to now that the Stannis hype train has derailed. It will hopefully get back on track some stage. When he has his self loathing scene and kills Mel when she ultimately admits he isnt Azor Ahai ???

As a charter member of the Melisandre Hate Club, I'd say hell, yeah. But I've had to rethink my assessment just a bit upon reading a couple of posters say they think Mel really believes that what she's doing is the only way to save their world from total darkness and death - not sure I buy that, but in the episode, it did seem as if she had had a some sort of premonition that caused her to step outside her tent just before the fires began, and I thought the look of uncertainty/apprehension on her face seemed real enough. Plot twist - Melisandre sees in her fires that she's been wrong and Stannis is not Neo afterall but they're about to die so she decides to convince him to burn Shireen which she then uses to turn the tides against Stannis and have him defeated by either the Boltons or Brienne or something so that she can then go back to Jon Snow. Ramsay's attack and burning the camp's supplies was part of the vision and a convenient way out... Nah, sounds stupid. I hope George has a better plan. Whoa, you had me going for a while there. I was really getting worried about you!
