Trystane as Aegon eh? Well, it would be less out of nowhere than FAegon in the books at the very least. Though that's a plot element I could do without

I have a hard time coming up with a reason they've gone out of their way to include Dorne and all of the characters there unless they had a plan to become involved in the pursuit of the Iron Throne.
It's highly unlikely that Trystane is there just to hang around and make pouty faces at Myrcella either considering they've jettisoned all of his siblings.

I'm also surprised how many fans seemed to ignore the Conleth Hill interview a couple weeks ago where he specifically said in a couple answers that what he was telling Tyrion regarding Dany might not be his full agenda.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea. There isn't a safer place to send Aegon than with his uncle in a kingdom far away from King's Landing. It's far less random and dangerous then having him wander around Essos with only a few people to guard him. And it'll make it seem less out of nowhere than him just turning up.
Also, I think I heard him saying to Myrcella "you will be my Queen" in the garden scene. Perhaps I misheard.

Ok - I'll try to be fair in my perspective on this. Had someone told me they were going to swap Sansa in for fArya, I would have said "No way, I can't wrap my head around that" too. So swapping Trystane in for fAegon ... I guess that could be a thing and less traumatic overall than Sansa's dealio.

It at least puts a stop to all the people who were furious that Varys' plan was only Dany and that he had no ulterior motive.
Really, Trystane doesn't even have to be Aegon, he can just be someone who's been groomed for the Iron Throne with Doran and Varys being in cahoots all along.

Apparently they're hitting you over the head with their clue anvils but then when they're not overtly foreshadowing something, then they should be letting the audience know exactly what's coming. |

I'm sort of on the there is no Aegon bandwagon and its Myrcella/Trystane together who'll be an Aegon kind of figure who are loved and liked and seen as good rulers, someone who maybe comes into KL and sweeps the decks and sort of brings calm to the storm before it all kicks off again. Plus Doran having no kids seems weird. What will he do legitimize one of the SS's or something. Surely if Aegon and Trystane were one and the same he'd at least of made sure he had a kid of his own for Dorne.
Also he's barely featured yet, I'm far more interested in Myrcella to him currently at least we know her a bit. He seems so far more like an add on to her story. Especially after we had the prophecy and Jamie being sent to Dorne to go for Myrcella and Ellaria wanting to mutilate her. |

Have people fully nixed the possibility that Mel has an R+L=J vision in this episode and THAT'S why we've got that title? I wouldn't rule that out myself, given the buildup in ep. 504.

No, I think it's likely. Carice did say in an interview that she has a big scene with him going forward, and it seems she's going south with Stannis, so how would it happen otherwise?
