I do agree it's a bit of overkill on Ran's part, and I do think it's a combination of cover his ass, and kissing others. Maybe bossing people around on a big board for way too long has gotten to him, he thinks he's the police of everything....not just his own little webverse? LOL Makes sense to me. They want HBO to find out who did the leaks, so Elio and Sue can proove that it wasnt them. It sucks but the damage is done, we may get 1-2 EP screeners next year, and probably only big sites like Westeros, Entertainment Weekly, Watchers etc trusted websites will get it next year. Well if they didn't leak them, HBO won't do anything to them. They really don't need to get involved and pm their users to provide them anything. Seems intrusive. Also there is this conspiracy theory that HBO did it themselves to create more hype  ~looks around the house nervously~ Should I wave to him, or shoot the finger?  |

All I'll say about the leaked episodes for now is that, as a Roose fan, the best line in them is "Stop eating and listen."
McElhatton is fucking ASTOUNDING. I'm back here perusing what I missed, and yes, I loved Roose....he will be the saving grace of this WF stuff. I watched that dinner scene....and it did make me miss the book material that some of it was drawn from. Roose is the one who MAY get me through some of this. GAWD...........I hope we get.....don't make me rue the day.  |

Hmmmmm, but is that counting the Previously On segments, along with....any Inside the Episode or Coming Next Week on GOT's type things? Because non of that was on the epis, not any that I've picked through in all kinds of confusing order. Lordy, my show watching is probably as confusing as it was for people to put AFFC and ADWD into chronological order. |

Just searching on my own, I didn't receive or give links to anyone. I'm actually pretty afraid of viruses, to tell you the truth. Ran is the screenname that Elio uses, he's the guy that started/runs Westeros. org and cowrote that WoIaF with GRRM and his now wife Linda, the other half of Westeros. I'm not super duper into knowing much about them, only have posted there the past few years. I'm mostly an internet newbie, only started doing the nets toward the end of Lost. Well, I was a newbie back then, but...have been through enough in fandoms and boards not to be surprised by much of anything and too old to really......give MUCH of a shit about all the drama, LOL.

I'm not surprised its being written about. It is practically half the season that has leaked. I'm surprised a show with only 10 episode seasons sends out so many screeners. I'd have thought 2 would suffice.
