So, do you guys think that this will be the slowest episode of the second half of the season? To me, it appears that it will probably be mostly set-up for the big moments to come in the next three.

The Unsullied are already complaining about how slow this season is, I don't know how they will cope if the action doesn't truly begin until episode 8 or 9!

Maybe if George had written AFFC and ADWD more like ASoS, the show wouldn't have this problem. Jack shit happens in those books.

I'm disappointed to read "Brienne waits for a sign" because to me that means both episodes 6 and 7 will drag out Sansa's setup for that. I really expected the 'sign' to come at the end of 6 or at least at the start of 7 ...but if Brienne's still "waiting" that means there's no sign given and so we won't see anything resolved until the last couple of episodes. UGH!

Well I imagine the next episode will contain enough of horrific things for Sansa fans they will have plenty of action of raging about it all week long

UGH! You're missing the brilliance of the writers. You see having one 5 minute long scene from Feast with LS and Brienne would be too time consuming. Having random old lady, random old dude, delivering monologues to Pod, threatening to kill the finest man who ever lived and candle watching takes far less time! Was that bitter? I apologize

Often times, the description doesn't mean that's all that character deals with in the episode. Presumably, when we first see her, she's waiting for the sign and then the sign comes at some point in the episode.
At the same time, Sansa escaping Winterfell kind of has to happen near the end of the season since that's her climax. They aren't busting her out in the 7th episode.

I didn't expect them to bust her out by Episode 7, but I interpret "waits for a sign" to mean still waiting. I suppose it could happen that episode and then by 8 and 9 the rescue starts to spin into place. I'm probably over analyzing this because I do NOT want them to go where everyone seems to predict they're going with Sansa and Ramsay and I'd like to just fast forward to her rescue. Wishful thinking I guess. There's going to be bad stuff happen. I'm preparing myself for it.

So this adds yet ANOTHER country to the long list of places GoT has shot in. Good to know when we'll see Ghost next though.

What's funny is that s5's nowhere near as slow as s1, s2 and s3 but s4, starting with Joff dying and stacking the early season and mid-season with bigger events, has spoiled them and made them forget that most of the time the show builds towards shit rather than starting with a bang.

I'm not surprised as the books they are based on aren't as climatic as ASOS. I would say this season is relatively the same pace or maybe a little faster than Season 1. It does feel like a new beginning for several characters, which is pretty much what AFFC and ADWD were. Cersei, Jon, and Dany learning how to rule also built to moments such as Daznak's Pit, Walk of Shame, and For the Watch. Though it's also more about character development rather than big events.

Imagine if they decided to take 2 seasons to get through these 2 books? What a disaster that would've been.
