Sorry to go off topic. But how do you attach pictures to your posts? Iheartseverus already explained to me, but, you know, I am King Patchface now. I may look like Olenna but I have a hard time learning things, I know, oh, oh You need to click the image icon, third one in last row next to 'link' and 'email' and add a link to the photo on the web, ending with one of the image extensions like .jpg or .png or .gif etc. Totally agree with Sati, not so much because Tommen acts like a boy and stuff, I'm kinda over it. But it's really repetitive and cheap to have yet again another female character manipulating a male character through sex, especially because in this case there was no sex in the books and that made it refreshing or original or whatever. But no, everything is about sex with D&D. Wait and see how Sansa uses sex to manipulate Ramsay. Exactly :/ and they were doing so well with that scene with the cat last season, the extent of her being in his bedroom should end there Yeeeah I learned it!!!

You guys still haven't addressed the plot hole of Margaery's arrest by the Faith... if she didn't have sex with Tommen (like in the books) what would they have to arrest her about on the show? They've done absolutely no setup for that. I'm so confused!
I know y'all didn't like them having sex, it was awkward (and was supposed to be) but how else are they going to nail Margaery for adultery if they don't reveal she wasn't a virgin?

Wasn't it because of the Blue Bard "confessing" to the Faith that he was banging Marg? I remember reading that girls sometimes lose their maidenhood for riding horses too much and that this was used to dismiss something, but I'm not sure if it was related to this incident.

I seriously need to refresh on all those events ASAP... my brain is foggy on all of it from books. Also, wasn't Olyvar IN the Red Keep (Loras room) when Margaery went in there to interrupt them and demand to go to dinner? I don't see how they can really frame Margaery for something Loras was doing and if he's gay, why would it make any sense she was involved? I was really hoping for Cersei to question Tommen or Margaery's handmaidens about bloody sheets or something... anything to tie in a reason for the wedding night sex scene to be necessary for Margaery's arrest.

Yes, the Blue Bard confession - thank you! (I was having a hard time remembering details) There's been no setup at all for this so I'm going to assume they're changing this or dropping it. They've got to figure out a plausible reason to arrest Margaery and so far I've seen nothing that really works for the show. Her interrupting Loras in his affair with Olyvar isn't very convincing.

Are we positive she gets arrested? Good point! I guess they could choose to drop her arrest altogether but that seems like a really poor choice considering the drama effect it has on pretty much everyone involved and was a major part of the tension in the story. Why would they drop it? What benefit to the show does it have to keep Margaery safe from the Faith's crusade? I'm not arguing it, just curious how it would play out or work or make sense. I think they need to do it the book way (arrest Margaery too) because everyone loves Margaery and hates Cersei ... and that was part of the bomb about the Faith, they were impartial with their arrests and everyone was in danger. I remember it being one of the most hair-raising parts of reading for me ... I was like "WTF IS GOIN ON!?" .... and pretty much lost sleep staying up to read through the entire thing! How can they NOT put that in the show - it's amazing writing!

Think about it this way - is it less or more believable than LF not knowing much about Ramsay? In light of some developments of the show Margaery simply being in the presence of Loras and token bi sexual guy is enough

Are we positive she gets arrested? I'm 99% sure they won't pass for an opportunity where she calls Cersei all those names

In light of some developments of the show Margaery simply being in the presence of Loras and token bi sexual guy is enough Littlefinger in the books, no way - he probably had spies IN the Bolton household to confirm the atrocities Ramsay was rumored to have done by many over the years (hunting dogs etc). But Show Littlefinger isn't being painted as smart as the book because they leave out so many details - can't be helped in many cases considering the size of the books and the sheer volume of details. Going that route, implicating she had something to do with Loras and Olyvar is just limp IMO. And yes I just used that word in the same sentence as Loras and Olyvar.

I agree it's weak but so far it's the only thing we can go on, there is nothing else to accuse Margaery of and we know Cersei sent for LF

They could go either way but I wouldn't be that shocked if they didn't even have Margaery arrested. All the buildup seems to be about Loras being arrested and "tried" which obviously is not a book thing and seems to be substituting for Margaery. Maybe we'll get more of a hint of a plan Cersei actually has there in the 5th or 6th episodes.

Perhaps it's this moment in the dungeon:

Another thought about this. The show could pull a historical reference here, Cersei could claim that Margaery lied about her virginity and that she slept with Renly ( just like Henry the 8th did with his first wife Catherine, saying she slept with his brother-her first husband, where she claimed she did not)...this claim might lead to Margaery having to expose Loras and Renly to save herself. Or choosing not to expose either of them and getting a worse punishment. I don't know...it's just a thought knocking around my head. I can't see this show forgoing the main conflict between the two. Margaery has to be arrested this season somehow.

Martin's world mirrors a lot of medieval world culture anyways so it works. The fact that Natalie Dormer played Anne Boleyn in the HBO series The Tudors would also make the irony of historical accusation for Margaery pretty rich!

This is a very smart theory, so I'm not sure these writers could come up with it, let's hope they did.

The High Sparrow questions Margaery about her brother's affairs. He asks if she's ever seen the two of them together. She says never in order to defend him.
The High Sparrow questions Loras and asks him to come clean. He says he has had Margaery's confession, and he must tell the truth if not for himself, for his sister's sake, and suspicion of her involvement. He confesses to his crimes in order to defend her. The HS asks if she ever saw them together, he says yes, but she wasn't involved and wanted him to stop his sinning.
The High Sparrow arrests Margaery for lying in the eyes of the gods and suspicion of incestual activity. Loras is executed for his crimes.

Arresting her because she lied to protect her brother, when she is a legit Queen on the show is even weaker than the faux accusations of her being in a threesome made up by Olyvar and LF

It's not about him prosecuting her for the lie alone, its about giving the Sparrows tangible reason to go all Salem Witch Trial on her ass.
