I think Brienne will die helping Theon helping Sansa to escape from Winterfell. I think that is way more propable than her killing Stannis. I would have never taught I'll be hoping for Brienne to get killed but hey, it's happening.

Hmm. Well, I hope she survives the season. Otherwise, having her wander around aimlessly with Pod achieving nothing for 2 seasons would be a complete waste if she just died at the end of it all. She needs to do something other than get told to fuck off by both Arya and Sansa on separate occasions.

She needs to do something other than get told to fuck off by both Arya and Sansa on separate occasions. But in this scenario she would accomplish something. She would save Sansa from the rapey monster Ramsay and die protecting her. Sansa would then be safe, with Stannis. She would've achieved something. And in the books it's the same really. I don't see both of Jaime and Brienne leaving LSH alive, and I'm sure everyone knows who will survive if one of them is going to die at the hands of the BWB.

I just refuse to accept her dying before she sees Jaime again.
I refuse to accept her trying to kill Stannis too.

It would be great to reunite Brienne and Jamie, but I think there's a 50-50 shot she's killed off at the end of the season. Either way, her storyline is 100x better in the show then the books IMO. Brienne in AFFC was dreadful to read until that last chapter.

I think she has two oaths to honor: help Cat's daughters and kill Stannis. The last one is a show oath I think, but an oath nonetheless. She either dies doing that or helps Sansa. I somehow have a hard time to see Sannis killed at this point. In my mind he still has a battle to win. So Brienne's storyline seems to be her own, and doesn't look like it's merged with anyone else's. Maybe a bit of the Mance Rayder/spearwives (?).
Note: I'm assuming every thread here is for Sullied. If that's not the case, let me know and I'll look for the spoiler tag.

I actually liked everyone's travelogues in AFfC and ADwD. Brienne's journey was full of these minor characters; Ser Creighton, Ser Illifer, Quiet Isle monks, Meribald, Dog, Tyrion's journey revealed us a lot about him and his self-pitying was great to read. Bran's journey was mystical and great, but that might be just because of Coldhands, who I liked.
I think Show Brienne's story is much more boring: Travel with Podrick, meet Hot Pie, find Arya who doesn't want her protection, fight Hound, let Arya escape, meet Sansa, who also doesn't want her protection, try to track Sansa down and save her, achieve her goal and die.

I look at her storyline in the books as filler content - it's great if you simply want to absorb yourself in the ASOIAF world. Maybe a re-read will make me appreciate the content more. But in terms of progression, it just doesn't seem like anything happens for Brienne. "I'm looking for a maid three and ten"...that's her whole objective over two books spanning 1900 pages and nothing to progress that story happens. In the show she got to Arya and Sansa already. Both sisters rejected her help and now the onus is on Brienne to do something to earn their trust. She's pretty much been a failure according to public standards (Littlefinger confirmed that perspective with his Catelyn and Renly are both dead conversation) to Sansa. And that's what makes her story in the show worthwhile.

I just refuse to accept her dying before she sees Jaime again. I refuse to accept her trying to kill Stannis too. I agree with you! There are two ways they could do it (if Brienne dies I mean). It would be the book way of LSH>Jaime>Death but since no LSH it'll probably just be NO Jaime>Saving Sansa/Trying to kill Stannis>Death. Unless she lives of course then show Brienne and book Brienne will meet Jaime again. I don't know if I'm making sense ha

I find it strange that they bothered to have Jaime take time out to remember Brienne fondly as they passed Tarth if they planned to simply never have them connect again.

But how could they reunite? Jaime is at Dorne and Brienne is in the North?

I don't think the suggestion is that Jaime and Brienne are going to reunite this season.

I don't think the suggestion is that Jaime and Brienne are going to reunite this season. I think it was just a nice piece of fan service, at least for now. Of course it would work better if Brienne actually mentioned Jaime in this season instead of doing whatever it is she is doing...
