Playstation 4 is down to $250. Seriously considering it! I still have like 4 PS3 games I haven't gotten around to playing. But $250 is very reasonable, and I have been itching to play Bloodborne and DS3.

I am going to BUST! I fucking loved the original game. I had it for the PS2 growing up and it is still one of the best games I have ever played. Then in 2011 they announced they were making a sequel and I lost my shit over this single image. I honestly thought they had scrapped it, it had been so long since there were any updates (I believe they confirmed they were still working on it, but I doubted). I remembered I had the PC port on Steam, but I hear it's awful but I'll have to power through it since the HD remake isn't on PC.

I am quite surprised they went for a prequel over a sequel though. It's been a long time since I've played BG&E but I recall it ended on a cliffhanger? (About Jade's uncle I think?) I hope they're doing this to get more people into the series, then releasing a sequel to the original. It would be great if they included the HD re-release with the prequel.

Nintendo's show was underwhelming to me. Metroid Prime 4 and a new Pokemon for the Switch were big announcements, but it's too bad they didn't show actual footage or gave any informations beyond the fact that the games are in development. Super Mario Odyssey looks fucking weird, man. I'm intrigued by the gameplay mechanic with the hat and all, but the city setting doesn't fit Mario like at all. When that one lady started to praise the graphics and texture quality, even though the game footage they showed literally looked like two generations behind. Not that I personally care about graphics all that much, but I thought that was silly. The way it switches between 3D and old school 2D Mario was super fucking cool though, they could make an entire game just based around that mechanic. I must say, this was probably the lamest E3 in a long time for me. Sony showed some cool gameplay footage to a few of the games they announced last year, and I'm moderately excited for Beyond Good and Evil 2, but apart from that, it was all veeeery underwhelming. Bummer. Oh, and Sony also had Spider-Man, which looked fucking amazing.

I'm bummed out that Spider-Man's ass looks so flat and square in the new game.

Microsoft really don't know how to name things, do they? I mean, seriously ... Xbox One X? Jesus. Also they win the E3 for tackiest, lamest slogan: 'I witnessed the most powerful console ever'. It has so many teraflops, the best anyone has ever seen.

Microsoft really don't know how to name things, do they? I mean, seriously ... Xbox One X? Jesus. Also they win the E3 for tackiest, lamest slogan: 'I witnessed the most powerful console ever'. It has so many teraflops, the best anyone has ever seen. That's pretty typical of Microsoft. Even in the PC world, Apple is known for being accessible, user-friendly, with a simple, clean aesthetic. Microsoft is more clunky and buggy, with the potential for much more performance power and customization. In gaming, Microsoft puts an emphasis on state of the art technology, whereas a company like Nintendo puts the emphasis on simple-yet-accessible gameplay. Microsoft's approach appeals to a more niche audience but has a higher price tag for consumers, who I'm sure are more willing to pay for better performance. I suppose that one method is designed to profit off of the consoles, whereas the other wants to sell more software. I think companies like Nintendo and Sony produce more games whereas Microsoft licenses from third party developers more often, but I could be mistaken. Basically, Microsoft is the definition of "hello fellow kids." They are the tech geeks of the tech industry, and don't really understand how to reach consumers on a relatable level.

I didn't play that sexy vampire game either, I mostly play Dark Souls, which means I'm probably some sort of masochist.

I'm currently playing Ace Attorney 2, I'm in the middle of the second case 'Reunion and Turnabout', and while I absolutely love the characters and the writing in these games ... I hate the logic so much. Seriously, it makes zero fucking sense. The entire second case is basically one huge contradiction, and it only works at all because the characters in this game are idiots. So, if the court accepts the fact that magic exists in this world and that Maya was channeling the spirits of the dead at the time of the murder, then by that logic, they must come to the conclusion that Maya herself cannot be charged with murder, since it is so clear that the murder was committed by a vengeful spirit who was merely using her body. And if the court dismisses the whole magic aspect and just takes hard facts into consideration (which they absolutely should), well then the whole case against Maya falls apart as well. We have physical evidence as well as witness testimony that the woman who committed the murder looked nothing like Maya, and was clearly older and taller than her. Ergo, it was not her, so there is no reason whatsoever to prosecute Maya, when she is obviously not the woman in the picture. Ace Attorney is probably my favourite Nintendo franchise, but the logic is so fucking flawed sometimes.
