I thought both John Lithgow and Claire Foy were deserving winners for television.

I thought both John Lithgow and Claire Foy were deserving winners for television. Mahershala Ali gave a wonderful acceptance speech. For me, Lithgow was deserved, Foy wasn't. Not because I don't think she is good, I thought she was very good. But I don't think she deserved the win. I just hope the Crown doesn't become the darling of the award shows, winning year after year against more deserving competitors. edit; great speech. |

Watching Ryder was truly disturbing, she is either in need of some serious help or was trying to be funny WHILE her co-star was giving a speech which is not a responsible behavior for a woman who is trying to have a comeback...unless she wants a part in some comedies

lol winona's always been weird. it's her thing. I was really uncomfortable watching this unfold...whatever it was. Taraji Henson is also a bit odd but at least she represented her cast and the movie well and did not steal the focus from the project and the speech |

I think Winona was just drunk tbh Yeah, it can be a lot harder to hide your emotions while intoxicated in public. You may be thinking something, not aware that your face is telegraphing every emotion to the people around you. She also may not have expected the speech and had hoped this opportunity would be used to plug season 2. |

When I saw Winona on the red carpet, I thought she looked high. But watching her when Harbour was talking, which I saw some refer to as "mugging" if she was high it was probably on some type of medication. Her behavior looked more like mental illness than substance abuse. It was disturbing.

Her behavior looked more like mental illness than substance abuse. It was disturbing. And people attributing this to quirky or eccentric...I don't know, I felt like I was watching someone having an episode of some kind on there. It's just not at all appropriate behavior and I never saw anyone drunk or high acting like she did there. Very disturbing, seeing how people are making memes out of it, she also acted like that on the show a little bit, I think she has some form of high anxiety and something triggered her on the stage. Just...uncomfortable stuff all around |

I don't know, I think it's pretty harsh and degrading to interpret a few weird facial expressions as mental illness or substance abuse ... people did that with Hillary Clinton, too.

I think she didn't know he was going to say something serious, and she didn't seem to catch half of what he said, and she didn't know it would last so long, and she was probably lit too. By the time she realized what was up, it was too late to not seem like a dumbass.
I bet she regrets her little side show.
