watched the first episode (lena inspired me obviously)
i really like the vibe. it is very easy for something like this to come off as cheesy, but they are playing it straight and i really like that. winona is really stealing the show. i was surprised when that BITCH shot that guy in the diner. he was nice.
also, i do NOT like steve, the boyfriend. he genuinely felt kind of rapey in both of his scenes. fuckboy.

I don't envy the writers of the this show. Usually when the internet really loves something(True Detective) they end up hating what follows(True Detective season 2). Stranger Things was probably the most beloved new show of last year, the bar has been set very high and it will be impossible to please everybody.

Although I will say, shouldn't those kids have awful plastic Ghostbusters costumes?
In the 80's it was the awful plastic costumes, that smelled awful & was difficult to breathe in, that most kids had.

I've been thinking this and wishing the kids were getting a _little_ less exposure. People love to hate something on top, and I want them to keep succeeding. |
