1) The North! So much! Jon's resurrection will break the Internet. Sansa will have a key role reuniting the north. D&D have said that the Snowbowl will be the largest and greatest battle ever seen in TV, and with Sapochnik directing, I absolutely believe them!
2) The Riverlands: The Siege of Riverrun will be massive, Brienne and Jaime will be together again, Ian McShane and some Freys dying is always good news...
3) Bran: Max von Sydow, Tower of Joy and I'm sure this season we'll find out the true about the origins and motivations of the White Walkers.
4) Iron Islands: Some viking badass action, and Euron introduced as the main antagonist for Season 7.

1. Bran 2. Bran 3. The Boltons dying 4. The Riverlands (return of the Blackfish and Edmure) 5. What ever is going down with the Greyjoys. I wasn't too interested in them in the books but the show has me intrigued.

So interesting to see such a wider variety of key characters and stories anticipated. I think this really does support the claims that Season 6 will be the BEST season yet because as you've all pointed out - there are so many great things to look forward to seeing. I look forward to all the things you all are looking forward to as well and hope they all amazing!
It's also cool to see renewed interest in some of the less popular areas like Bran and the Ironborn. The show has definitely helped make the characters amazing with some truly epic actor castings. I'm thinking there will be story arcs from the show that outshine the books for sure.

Haha this is probably the best answer of all! After reading everyone's responses, I started to think "Oh yeah, I'm really looking forward to that too... oh and that, yeah that's gonna be good too..." So pretty much ALL of it should be awesome ... well ... unless they do more cringeworthy Sandsnakes stuff. I hope they get their act together on that this season, hah.

My short answer would probably be everything but the Sand Snakes. Edit: haha, @envie.

It's one of the very few areas I felt the writers just didn't have a good grasp on the character personalities of those women at all. How can old George be SO good at writing fierce women? He's awesome.

-Cersei fucking shit up -Bran -Ian Mcshane Ah yes, Cersei! Do you think she will go completely batshit crazy and burn King's Landing down! I definitely think she will, its one of the things I've been expecting to happen in the books for a while, hope it happens in the show. I'm also cautiously looking forward to the supposed ToJ scene, could easily see D&D fucking that up though.

Only way they can improve Dorne is to give Doran a plan. It might be too late for that. I lie though i guess theres a few things im looking forward to: -The 'bloody hand' play in Aryas storyline - jaime and cersei splitting and hopefully something that resembles jaimes AFFC arc - dany owning the dothraki and leaving for westeros - Sam! Horn hill and oldtown both super excited for - Euron!! -Sansa reuniting with rickon and jon - Septon meribald/quiet isle stuff - Probably most excited for Bran because of the flashbacks and insight into NK/WW stuff

I don't know how many episodes Dany spends with the Dothraki , as many as 8 or 9? Maybe the Dothraki are there all the way. The initial 5 episodes or maybe 6 should be interesting since one can kind of sort of divine these are from Winds of Winter, I think. Seem to kind of go as I had a hunch they would. Dany is in a pickle but gets out of it in some spectacular way, I am curious about that.

D&D obviously thought the Sandsnakes would be these badass characters, but they fell about a mile short of that mark.

Haah I thought for sure D&D were gonna cut the sandsnakes and keep Arianne(she's perfect for the show) but I was way off on that one.

It seem in the books that Dorne plays some role, maybe an important one, but right now it seems another one of George's balls-in-the-air that could be another ASoIaF shaggydog.

I'm also cautiously looking forward to the supposed ToJ scene, could easily see D&D fucking that up though. If they intend to have Cersei burn down the house, they are doing a really good job of covering that up and misdirecting everyone. They've focused on her sorrow and reaction to Myrcella's death differently (plus new twincest footage from trailer) so I wonder if that's intentional to keep us off the trail to mayhem to come! Her iconic "I choose violence" is the first hint we've had at all that crazy Cersei is still lurking in there. That was so exciting! Cersei is everyone's favorite evil Queen and we love to hate her! I really do hope she burns it all down. It will be fitting to Daenerys' vision of a burnt throne room... plus with winter arriving soooon!
