I'd have to see him not making a weird face like that to say really if I saw any sort of resemblance. In costume, with hair and beard ... we'll see. It would be nice to figure out the puzzle of which part he's playing. I purposefully found a picture of Sean Bean's Ned making a weird face to match his one here. But I think their noses, brow, eyes and beards are very similar. Smiling and more in-character/costume is more helpful for me. Found this one of Eddie: A little more resemblance to Sean Bean the few times Ned actually smiled.

Since this is confirmed as happening. I've got a few questions...
How is it going to be done? We know that Bran will be in the vision, but is it going to appear from his POV or is it going to be filmed like normal with him in the background. And is it going to appear dream-like?
When will it appear in the season? I think its going to be early on, before mid-season. close to the time when jon is back. I don't think we got confirmation on the director. And is it going to be split up into two parts, fighting and then Lyanna scene?
It's arguably one of the most important scenes

I thought the general speculation was that this would be in episode 605 or 606?
As for Bran. I can see him watching it from a bit of distance. Like the vision starts with them, then the camera pans away to the fight, we see the whole thing, and Ned with Lyanna, then it pans back to Bran, who has moved so can see more, then it ends.

I'm just gonna jump in without reading - I predict the big Lyanna is his mother reveal will be in the last scene of the season I mean this what the sane writer would do...so I'm not betting on my prediction

Yeah I believe the ToJ flashback is supposed to be in 606.

Because they probably want to connect the flashback directly to Jon snow.

I can't see them saving the reveal that long, I think the final scene of the flashback will be baby Jon Snow, then it will cut to grown up Jon Snow. I could see someone telling Jon about his parentage later though.

We as the audience will find out about Jon's parentage in whichever episode ToJ is in, via Bran. I guess it's in 6x06, because Bender is directing it.
Jon will probably find out about it later, maybe in Season 7 via Howland Reed.

Well, I was thinking how Martin should do it but apparently show will get the chance to do it first Well, I can't say GRRM didn't have enough chances though, so it's all his fault.

Possibly after the Boltons are devastatingly crushed in Snowbowl, Jon will have a scene at a heart tree? but how will jon ever really find out unless they do that or there is a dream sequence.

I'm looking forward to the ToJ flashback, but it's also a bit frustrating knowing that while finally all the fans get confirmation that R+L=J, Jon Snow STILL knows nothing. Wonder when he'll find out? Season 7?
And I am dying for a Rhaegar and Lyanna flashback!

Well, i wonder if there will be lead up to the TOJ flashback to explain or give the audience some pieces of the puzzle to put together like GRRM did in the book.
Because i think through Bran, its possible for them to show, Tourney at Harrenhal or a scene of them running through the riverlands...anything really! It would be really awesome to get a flashback of Rhaeger.

We're getting Manderly, who I thought we'd never get. Howland is still a possibility, IMO. It would actually be kind of sweet if Jon met him and was told about his parentage near a weirwood. Then Bran could see it and tell Meera he saw her father. She needs a little pick me up.
