It was. I never knew the lack of one cantaloupe could cause such drama. I kind of wish Morgan was not on the train ride back to crazy town, although it makes sense for someone to snap under the stress. And we needed to get him to the point where he would tell Carol the truth about Alexandria and the Saviors. Glad that Carol is getting back to her old self. Nice ending with Carol, Ezekiel and the young boy planting. Not surprised that Richard and Benjamin died. Am surprised that Morgan beat Richard to death. oh and CGI deer jokes:

He knew the second Richard told him that he was going to have to kill what he was going to have to do. He took Richard's plan and used Richard to put it in play.

I thought the episode was okay... I don't understand why nobody stopped Morgan, it doesn't make sense for him to strangle him like that. And then steal his plan? doesn't that make him as bad as Richard. Carol is back

His morality isn't based on a sane world view. It's tied into what Benjamin kept saying, to injure an opponent is to injure yourself. He has decided that he has to allow himself to be injured because he has to kill, because the saviors can't be left to keep doing what they're doing.

Yes, plus with Morgan I think it is part of him showing the Saviors what he can do to them and also in a way trying to get them off the Kingdom's back to give them time to do what they need to do to rise up against the Saviors. Now that the Saviors see that the man who caused the missing cantaloupe was taken care of. I also kind of thought Richard was ready to die since he had the grave and the sign bury me here ready.

That's definitely what he was doing. To Carol's point, though, yes, what he did is just as bad as what Richard did, except that Morgan killed the right person, the one who had already volunteered himself for sacrifice.

I actually really enjoyed the finale, and most of this half-season. It amazes me that I can still like it again after I hate-watched it and even skipped episodes for a few years. Oh my God, Sasha, you beautiful badass lady. That's how a beloved character should go out.

Though if Gimple is correct, and the show does go 20 seasons, at some point I'll stop. Even my beloved ER, I stopped watching after season 11 when Dr. Carter left. This is where GOT has it over TWD, having an endgame in sight and going out before most people are truly tired of the show. @witchy, agree on Sasha. What a great end. I kind of figured she was done since she got a leading role in CBS's Star Trek Discovery. I can't figure out Dwight tho, is he a double agent-on team Rick but pretending to be Team Negan?

Yeah, I jumped up and cheered both times Shiva got a man. My only disappointment about Sasha's death was we didn't get to see Tyrese. I was hopin' once she starting having memories/visions.
I think Dwight is on our team. That little figurine thingy that Daryl found said "didn't know". I think he left that, and I think it meant that he didn't know about the turncoats. Haven't we seen him carving shit when he was talking to his wife? I feel like we did...

I wondered if he was talking about team GPK turning on them with the solider. I wonder what Dwight's next move is. I do think he left that figurine, it would make sense since we've seen him and Shelly leave notes. I feel like I've seen the solider before and you are probably right that he carved it. I was waiting for Shiva to chomp down on Negan or stupid Garbage Pail Kid leader (God, I hate her so much).

I still kind of like Garbage Bitch as a character. I've entertained myself a lot thinking about how that community came to be. I imagine it as a sort of Lord of the Flies type thing. Most of the group is young, like they could have been high school students when the apocalypse went down, and they ended up following and acting like the strongest person who happened to be with the group, Garbage Bitch. I made up a backstory that she was their teacher, and they were on a field trip of some kind when shit went south. That old dude with her was the bus driver. Of course, now that she has turned on the team and shot Rick, I want her to die. But in an entertaining way.

@witchy, I accept your head canon about the origin of the GPK and I would say Garbage Bitch also decided to come down with her own version of language. She does need an entertaining death...maybe electrocution via garbage somehow????

He's very important in the later comics." Thanks, Spoiler Sheilagh. So, all out war, it is.

I hate Tywin but he was entertaining)...in the hands of better writers, maybe he could have been (and JDM is doing the best he can). But if Negan and friends lose the All Out War, how do they justify keeping him around? How can all these factions get along when some have been betrayed by the others and just about everyone (except GPK) hates Negan.

I'm really hoping that when she said he's important later she meant in the "all out war" that's coming. If that fucker lives after the war, it better be as Shiva's pet, on a leash, wearing nothing but a diaper and a bonnet. I may have said this before...I think the problem is that when introducing iconic villains from the comics, they can't figure out how to fit them in. The villains in the comics are...comical. They are larger than life and not believable in the flesh, not even in a zombie apocalypse. Everything else about the TV show is realistic and relatable, so it seems like this is what life could really be like if there were some kind of near-extinction event. But it's hard to ever imagine a Negan or a Governor, as they were in the comics, in real life. It's a tone mismatch.
