An entire episode about Eugene? Noooope. Pretty much. They have no IDEA what to do with that character. Is he f*cking with Negan's mind or not? Is he telling the truth? I think Austin Amelio who plays Dwight is a good actor and he played the Dwight/Sherry story line well, considering that he was the one who had to play out what we believe their relationship to be like alone...but this should have been a side plot in an episode that was not all about Eugene.

Am I the only one who enjoyed the Eugene Show? That's the first time I've really liked an episode in ages. Shit, he might be my favorite character now.
I don't think Eugene has really turned. I think he has gone dark undercover to save his hide. I love that you can't really tell, though. It was acted perfectly.

So, I really did like the episode...call me crazy. It was really well constructed. Not only was it an important episode for Eugene, but also for Dwight, who is obviously going to play in Negan's end game somehow.
Anyway, the reaction compilations are truly my favorite part of TWD now.

I think Dwight is going to turn on Negan. Me too. I think he killed the doctor to save Sherry, and that was cold-hearted shit, but it was part of a larger plan. Sherry leaving him was the last straw; that's when he decided to kill Negan. I think he and Eugene will team up.

kingeomer @witchy do either of you guys read the comics? No, but I should. OK- will be careful in posting in this thread. In some ways, they are sticking close to the comics so it's easy to spoil without meaning to. I've read all the comics, and the novels too. How they play Dwight and his arc on the show will be very interesting to watch as it develops. Putting comic book knowledge aside, I think they are definitely setting him up to play a role in taking Negan down. I really enjoyed how they played the Dwight/Sherry story. The scene in an earlier episode where they were talking and smoking cigarettes in the stairwell was masterful. It really hit the post-apocalyptic, life-is-crap-and-won't-get-any-better note perfectly. Depressing as hell but really well done and worked to make what the characters were doing actually make sense in their context.

Depressing as hell but really well done and worked to make what the characters were doing actually make sense in their context. This is a great point...because I think Dwight and Sherry love each other very much, which is why they made the choices they did until she realized that even though she did it to save his life, what really was she saving his life from. Is living with Negan really living? I really think they made the choices they did for each other and not because they thought Negan was the best option. So I do suspect that Dwight (and possibly Eugene, he does have those pills) will be an aid to try to take him down. Last night's episode was kind of blah. I still hate the garbage pail kids. I don't think Rosita and Sasha are going to succeed on their own.

We know that's not how Rick dies. We know that's not how any of the main characters die. That's one reason the show has gotten boring. And to me, that's why the secondary characters are becoming more interesting. Rosita and Sasha could actually die. Eugene could actually turn. Not knowing is better than knowing.

The last time it was Laura Palmer, and then they announced a new Twin Peaks. Basil and I have been geeking out over the 20th anniversary in this thread: underthehearttree.freeforums.net/thread/1032/saved-world-ultimate-buffy-thread

Daryl is made up for the show, so he could die anytime (not that he will).
