I saw The Revenant. It was just as great as everyone said it would be. Just gorgeous and really fucking brutal. I was depressed and emotional afterward, but I kind of like that.

That film is so gorgeous. Like a painting brought to life. Lubezki is a is truly a master of his craft. Great performances too.

The wind through the trees representing nature and spirits, just amazing. And yes, several shots were so beautiful I was kind of stunned. The way the action sequences were shot was, I dunno, cool. And yes, great performances. Especially Hardy, I thought.

I watched While We're Young yesterday, it was just okay. Good performances, but nothing special.
I'm probably going to watch American Ultra tonight.

I saw Our Brand is Crisis which was average but Bullock and Thornton were very good, it's nowhere near as bad as imdb rating suggests and there are plenty of great actors in the ensemble

Watched Rushmore last night for the first time. Really shows how great a filmmaker Wes Anderson is, even when shooting in a much more naturalistic fashion he still has so much flair and invention. Plus it has his mark on it, he's kept his unique style from the beginning.
