^Not to open this whole hornet's nest again, but Lena Headey and NCW said almost identical things about the scene and very few people have turned on them in the same way.
I for one don't really care about the stupid things directors say (and lots of them say stupid things) as long as their work is good. Which I think Graves' is. I wasn't one of those people who was upset about the Sept Scene tbh because I thought Lena and NCW's performances were strong and it was as disgusting a scene as I recall it being in ASOS. I do think 403 was his weakest episode though, for pacing reasons with too many long scenes that kindof bungled the momentum that an episode after a king's death should have. I think it was better than ep. 405 though and I still give it an 8 out of 10.

we don't even know if the wall will come down. the white walkers are held back by magic not the physicality of it. its made of ice i think its pretty safe to say they like ice.

People on forums like to overuse the whole Chekhov's gun thing, but I think the Horn of Joramun is one instance where we're getting some major Chekhov's gun action. I'd say you don't mention that the Wall _could_ come down and that there's a magic device to make it so unless the Wall is coming down. Even though it's made of ice, they can't just walk through it. They need rid of it so their army can march on Westeros unimpeded.

Although people on AFOIAF and ASOIAF reddit really hate him now (despite him being their darling after s3, the fickle fucks), I would love for Alex Graves to come back. I wouldn't be surprised if he does. To be fair he deserves this for his complete lack of knowledge about characters. Good director but he knows nothing. I thought 3.4 and 3.5 were two of the best episodes, but the sept scene was unforgivably tone deaf about Jaime's character. The actors were just following the director's orders and understanding of the scene and doing their best to give him what he asked for, so I don't blame them for it.

The show has made things I thought were not a thing into a thing, and then dropped things I thought were important things. Some of those things (I am saying thing a lot!) ... may or may not end up being important things to the ending of the story. I hope they aren't going to mess it up with that butterfly effect George mentions a few times. The ending of the show not matching the books is going to piss me off.

Also, they are looking for 1500 extras in Spain. That's more than Hardhome (400) and Daznakh (500) combined. What could be going on?

Going to Dorne makes the most sense providing someone makes the connection between the two before that. Since I think that someone might be showing up in Dorne before the end of the season, it's entirely possible for next season.

@witchy yeh most likely the wall does come down just because its more practical. i just don't know how it will happen. Yeh Dorne or the Dothraki sea Bardenas looks amazing, is someone taking a trip through the Red Mountains bordering Dorne?

Has anyone thought of the possibility this season having more battles?
How can they cost it?

The budget increases every year, we can probably expect at least one epic battle in season 6.

HBO viewer count (and that's just subscribers) quadrupled since Season 1, I think they can afford it. HBO Now on demand also helps tons as they are getting new online monthly subscribers and not just cable subscriptions. They should have done that 4 seasons ago!
This show is their golden egg, they're going all out this season for the ending!

The budget increases every year, we can probably expect at least one epic battle in season 6. I seem to remember seeing that HBO put up 100 million dollars for season 5 , that's a lot , about 30 million more than for previous seasons. Despite some back trending scores for episodes season 5 I think this is going to be a successful season for HBO. So they may put up even more money for season 6. Tho, god-only-knows were the story goes! It seems sure now that the Breaking of the Siege or Meereen will not be in season 6. George said there were two battles in Winds, I really wonder if the 'Battle of Winterfell' will be one of them? If this is done it need not be a full episode , could be HardHome style. I worry about the 'can we top that' syndrome that plagues so many comic book movies , tho I have got to say it passes beyond my understanding how the box office stays up when the story is just a repeat with a few more explosions. I kind of figure the Big Ragnarök with the Others will have to be in Season 7, so what's in season 6.(For that matter what's in Winds of Winter!?!) Speaking of season 7, we are in the odd position of waiting till season 6 for season 7 to be green lighted. Except it seems de facto knowing that contracts have been extended for a season 7. One wonders if HBO is trying to see just how well this season did and how the their evaluation of the season 4 IMAX showings. I still think there could be some kind of 'movie' deal. It was indeed an experiment by HBO to show S4 episodes IMAX , episodes that had already been seen by TV viewers. George would like a movie intimating that one needs that canvas for the BIG CGI needed. We shall see, could be something strange announced next year.

And if there will, they'd be spin-offs or Dunk & Egg.

Movies would be awful. Not in terms of quality, but being with people in the cinema who won't shut up. I'm an anti-social viewer all the way.
Also, wouldn't movies be hard to distribute around the world in terms of dubbing and stuff? I don't want to wait nor watch a dubbed version, and original movies aren't played often here if you don't live in a bigger city with a Cineplex, Cinemaxx or whatever.
