I love the Greyjoys. I'll admit to it...I've missed them a little. Not the characters, who I will hate properly again if any are introduced, but just the sense that Theon's family actually exists and is a big marauding force.

I wouldn't bet on it that Meribald is a particularly big character. Remember Yezzan?

If Ramsay is going to die, someone has to take his place as a villain.
Septon Meribald is going to be interesting, I'm quite confident that we're going to get Meribald's speech to Brienne. We'll surely see Sandor as the Gravedigger.

Two things occur to me , as of right now, the implication is one major Greyjoy, still early, could be other castings to come.
What the hell do they do with all the characters and their locations? (In the tight squeezey blivit 10 episode frame work?) It's already a narrative problem , well the books already have a narrative problem!

Orell appeared in 7 episodes, I'd believe. 6 according to IMDB. And I was thinking more of screentime as opposed to number of episodes. The description seems to have him playing a combo of Meribald and the Elder Brother. I would think he'd be a bit of a travelling companion for Brienne and Pod in order to get them to whatever the show's equivalent of the Quiet Isle is and in front of the Hound for that reunion.

Now that have thought on it, I'm a bit disappointed that they're not including Aeron - also Victarion, but I have a specific reason for Aeron: a fanatic for the Drowned God would be a ne contrast to the fanatic for R'hllor (Mel) and the fanatic for the Seven (HS).

For one, next season you'll have Tyrion/Jorah joined with Dany's storyline so that's one less thing. We have no idea what's happening with the Boltons/Stannis and Sansa but presumably that's all pared down by the time this season finishes. Who the hell knows what's going on at the Wall but there's definitely a whole lot less characters there than there used to be. Depending on what Jon's journey is, maybe that's not even a setting in S6. We may not be back in Dorne and just have the characters there split up and back into other character storylines (Jaime in Riverlands with Brienne, Sandsnakes in Oldtown or King's Landing etc). Euron I imagine will not be off by himself and will be connected with another character's story (best bet is Oldtown). This season we've had: The Wall Winterfell King's Landing Dorne Tyrion/Varys/Jorah Meereen Braavos Brienne/Sansa/LF in the Vale which eventually became amalgamated with WF and King's Landing stories Team Dragonstone leaving the Wall storyline to branch into their own thing Next season, you could have: Winterfell The Wall? Bran King's Landing Oldtown Braavos? (assuming Arya stays isolated which I doubt) The Riverlands Dany/Tyrion march to Westeros maybe Dorne It's not that different (Seasons 3 and 4 had even more plotlines to follow) so it seems it can all be easily accommodated.

What about Pyke? For the sound of it, the Iron Fleet? I always wondered how Victarion's wars ships were supposed to transport a huge number of Unsullied. Now there seems to be a transport fleet for that purpose. I still think some time will be spent with the Dothraki. I don't think we will see Oldtown.

^Daario told Dany in 405 that he captured the Meereenese navy, which was 93 ships. I assume Euron will just declare himself King of the Iron Islands and begin invading The Reach. Though he might have his own fleet.

All they're introducing is Euron which means that he'll have to be a part of someone's storyline, not stuck in Pyke. He's attacking the Reach in the books at this point and since that's conveniently where Sam and Gilly are going, that's probably a good spot for him to go too (maybe with Yara). There's no Victarion or Iron Fleet in Meereen, Daario has already stated that they seized the Meereenese navy which just happened to have the exact same number of ships that Victarion has in the books. If there's Dothraki, they're on the boat with Dany because she's getting the hell out of Meereen as of the end of this season. They've purposely fast forwarded and cleared the decks there for just that purpose.

I'm still undecided if I like the Greyjoys beside Theon and Asha, but I have one fucking year for a re-read.

Luka Nieto: BTW, that priest could just as well be the Elder Brother, right? I’d always assumed they would merge those two roles anyway if any of them were to appear at all.
Spot on! That’s exactly what I hear.

What's everybody's thoughts on "Leading Actress," "Priestess," and "Fierce Warrior"?

What's everybody's thoughts on "Leading Actress," "Priestess," and "Fierce Warrior"? "Fierce Warrior", I think, is one of the Khals that Dany will run into in TWOW. Apparently all previous Dothraki casting calls have specified that the actor be "mixed race", so I think that's what that's signifying here.
The "Leading Actress" could be something to do with that theatre troop from Mercy, I guess. And the Priestess could be another Volantene Red Priestess potentially. I dunno.

I don't think we've seen the last of Yezzan btw. I could see him being in 508 and 509 too. And I think the Khal part would be for a few eps. at least. But yeah, not every part from the first casting calls that go out is a major one.
