With Catelyn dying at the end of season 3, it's just too large of a gap to resurrect this character. It's gotta be done by the end of this season or never. If Riverlands is gonna be in next season and she is not I'm gonna lose my shit so bad... could book 3 epilogue be this season's final scene? "Break the internet"

I hope Dorne gets the Riverlands-S5-treatment next season, and makes way for the Iron Islands / Oldtown!

So LSH is a very good possibility?

I hope Dorne gets the Riverlands-S5-treatment next season, and makes way for the Iron Islands / Oldtown! I don't think we'll see much of actual Dorne at all next year, if the Sand Snakes still go out on their little missions.

So LSH is a very good possibility? It will never be a very good possibility again, but this is the highest chance for it in my mind since last year.

Someone should contact Hibberd and say he was wrong about there being "no plans" Ironborn storyline being in btw...I mean we're only getting one uncle but that still counts as in. I thought Hibberd just said no Greyjoy storyline in season 5, especially since the showrunners were focusing on Dorne. I could be wrong. I'm talking about his reddit AMA from a few months ago when he said he didn't think there were any plans for it going forward, meaning in s6.

I'm talking about his reddit AMA from a few months ago when he said he didn't think there were any plans for it going forward, meaning in s6. I took that to mean "it doesn't really look like it since it's a little late at this point to throw them in there" as opposed to "I've heard it's not happening". Additionally, you could make the argument that Euron being cast doesn't necessarily constitute the "Ironborn story" since they very likely will skip the Kingsmoot and pretty much everything that happens on the Iron Islands and just make him the new leader that attacks the Reach as part of Sam's story. Dorne cast multiple new characters and is setting at least an entire season there so that's obviously a big difference.

I hate the Greyjoys, I hoped they were cut Well, it's just one guy so they still are kind of cut. If you think about it, he's just replacing Balon so your net Greyjoy increase is still 0 season over season.

Someone on another board pointed out that as of S6, there will be more Tarlys on the show than there have been Greyjoys or Tyrells, so presumably Sam's family has some importance heading toward the end game.

I think it's doubtful that the rest of the Tarly clan outside of Randyll get much more than an extended cameo. Sam isn't going to hang out at home for a full season.

I'm sorry, I know a lot of people like the Greyjoys and are hyped for Euron, but the only Greyjoy I enjoy is Asha/Yara and Theon (to a point). Euron, Victarion, Balon and Damphair can go away and I won't miss them.

Really, the casting call can be broken down into bigtime casting (new characters who will play a significant part in the season) and peripheral casting (smaller roles that either complement a storyline or are part of just one or two significant scenes).
I'd only put Euron, Randyll and Meribald into the 1st category. Everyone else isn't probably going to be seen very much at all.
The equivalent Season 5 casting call that came out last year around this time had the following characters on it:
Doran, Areo, Trystane, Obara, Nym, Tyene, High Sparrow, Septa Unella, Maggy the Frog, Lollys, Yezzan and the Waif.
So it's not just the major characters they put in. The next casting call that was leaked shortly afterwards had Varamyr as well as young Cersei and her friend. That pretty much took care of anything of any real consequence and we basically just had some very minor characters leak out over the next few months.
I would say that this is a pretty good indicator (give or take a number of minor characters that leak out over time) of anyone major that's coming on board next season.

I hate the Greyjoys, I hoped they were cut I don't like the Greyjoys either, but if they're combining them all into one, it might not be *too* bad. I'm just shocked they're coming at all so late in the game.

This is too good to be true. Could they possibly be merging Euron and Victarion into one? Slightly disappointed that there wasn't a part that said: "Heavily overweight blonde man in his late 50's or 60's. Needs to speak with a Northern accent."

I hate the Greyjoys too. It took everything I had not to skip their chapters. Euron should make a really good villain though.
