I have 2 years worth of Conan episodes to watch But yeah all it takes is me finding one evening. I just wish they had something to lure me in with like PeakyB does Not doing it for me but I know a female blogger slighty older than me for whom it does

It's only Monday Lets just say...it's very likely this was the series finale, not the season finale. More explicitly Vanessa dies

Do AMC, HBO and Showtime have some sort of bet going on as to which is the dumbest fucking network?

Not really wanting to say much until I have actually seen it, but Logan has had this planned out since the beginning I think. There was a comment a while back that he had a three season arc mapped out and when you consider the overall story, this is the natural ending really. A gutsy move that will undoubtedly be very divisive. I would prefer now if the show did not return for another season, it just wouldn't work IMO. But as it currently stands I don't have too much of an issue with the decision, although of course it makes me sad. I'll feedback more when I see the episode though, it will all depend how it's handled

Fuck me, I watched it last night. Not perfect, a bit rushed in places but damn. He funeral scene was touching, and all rough the final Ethan-Vanessa scene I was convinced the death thing was some huge troll...and then he shot her And good God, Lily! "GET FUCKING UP!" And John Clare Sweet mercy I was an emotional wreck. Renfield eating a frog "There cannot be a happy end for claw will slash and tooth will rend."

Because toying with emotions, compare and contrast these two scenes. Way to build false hope for us (from Ethan reciting Latin and Ethan reciting the Lord's Prayer)

Rewatching because why not? This scene in all its glory, Dorian's face, both at the start and when Lily takes his glass Reeve Carney was superb in this episode (Season 3 spoilers) Whatever you say Lily, sharpening my cleaver as you speak (she was so damn passionate here) This Reeve Carney scene

Well I just finished season two. I kind of have a lot to say so ill post it under the tag.. Ok so I'm pretty sure I've figured out exactly what is happening. An angel tried to usurp God's throne, so he cleaved it in two and threw it out of heaven. One half, one brother, landed on earth and became Dracula, the master of vampires. The other brother Lucifer fell to hell, and feeds on the dead. They both need the soul of the Mother of Evil (Amunet, Lilith, Hela, etc) to unleash the apocalypse. And then intertwined in this is Lupus Dei, the Wolf of God, who fights Lucifer and Dracula (?). So now present day, the Mother of Evil is reincarnated as Vanessa Ives, and the Wolf of God is a werewolf named Ethan Lawrence Talbot/Ethan Chandler. Dracula tries to lure Vanessa to his side by kidnapping her friend Mina, but fails. Lucifer tries possessing her soul, but is exorcised by Ethan. So Lucifer sends his witches, under the leadership of Evelyn Poole, to get her for him. But Vanessa's power plus Ethan's claws help them win yet again. SORRY I just needed to map that out for myself lol.
But anyway, I thought the season was great. I loved the whole prophecy/chosen one stuff. I think the reason for Vanessa's torment is awesome, and it makes a lot of sense. The witches were great, and I think Evelyn was ten times the villain those vampires were last year. RIP SEMBENE!!!! YOU DESERVED BETTER I don't know what the fuck is going on with Lily and Dorian. I guess they think they are superhumans and should rule over the mortals. Victor can fucking die I have never liked his character. Arrogant and tortured, and totally takes advantage of Lily. Fingers crossed for an overdose in season three lol. JOHN CLARE or whatever the fuck his name is is the most annoying character in the show. He needs to die along with his dad. Oh he's the worst. Entitled, arrogant, wallowing, feels bad for himself, expects Lily to love him for literally no reason. I enjoyed when Liily fuckin roasted him, because everything she said I agreed with. Ugh he's such a brat. Victor didn't fuckin hug him enough when he was born so now he's entitled to kill people and demand women to love him because he feels bad for himself?? Bitch no. I hope your boat sinks. Mr. Lyle is such a great character. Funny and snarky, but also intelligent and resourceful. When I first learned he was working with the witches I was so sad, but he turned his back on them for Vanessa and company and I cheered. His line about being a queen with good hair as he shoots the witch was very funny and unexpected. I guess Hecate is the new head witch in charge. Wonder what wild shit she'll get up to. So Vanessa has lost her faith, her love, and her "family." Even though she triumphed against Lucifer, this is probably her lowest point.
I apologize for that being the longest and most incoherent review ever, but I like to blab about things like this.

Mad Queen, you are pretty spot on, in terms of understanding what is going on. It's made very clear next season that your opinion on Victor is exactly what the show intended (I felt the same too). As I said in confessions, more is filled in during season three on the backstory stuff. Lily and Dorian, just to forewarn you, do not really connect with Vanessa's arc at all. I personally really enjoyed what Logan did in season 3 with their arc, and I thought Billie Piper, who was really just a mediocre actress at best in my mind, brought her A game throughout, delivering performances of the quality of S2 Episode 8 where she roasts John Clare. Sembene's death was rough, and was made all the more poignant by the build up of the friendship between him and Ethan. The comics are going to detail how he and Malcom met, so I will definitely be reading that. John Clare/The Creature is a tricky one. He is at once reprehensible, pitiable, repugnant and thoughtful. Logan was truly masterful when he created this version of Frankenstein's monster, and it shows that he is Logan's favourite character alongside Vanessa, Season 3, well you will either love it or hate it I think. I won't say more, I know you are spoiled for the ending but there are lots of other great bits too. Season 3, episode 4... Update me when you get that far...

That guy at the museum is obviously Dracula. The therapist is clearly some sort of reincarnation or whatever of the Cut Wife. Dr. Jekyll was...there lol. He didn't make an impression quite yet lol. Vanessa was as amazing as ever, tho.

Vanessa was as amazing as ever, tho. Luckily they don't mess around with their reveals. They are fairly quick at revealing stuff and don't excessively draw out what is obvious. Vanessa's depression was hard to watch, it struck too close to home seeing her in such a reclusive and fearful state. But Lyle! That little ray of sunshine. Quipping about her hair was icing on the cake for me. And Wes Studi was awesome (in season three as a whole I mean). I absolutely loved Patti LuPone. She was even better as Seward than she was as the Cut Wife. (Seward is a character from Dracula, not sure if you know much about Gothic literature). Renfield is pretty good too,

Just finished 303. What does Hecate want with Ethan? Turn the Wolf of God into the Wolf of Lucifer, so to speak?
